I discovered Burt’s round table with four women icons. All the women were gorgeous! Burt was awesome. So glad I found this round table of men icons. I enjoyed both shows. They were so well done that I wonder why Burt only did two shows

I'm only 45, but I grew up watching these old movie stars as my mom was a huge fan of the golden age of Hollywood. They seemed like such decent lovely people for the most part - maybe a tad promiscuous which is hardly surprising considering the Hollywood atmosphere and lack of morals. But they produced a wonderful body of work that I fear is being lost to the upcoming generations. I believe they would hate the radicalization of our culture and the further decline into immorality and confusion. Such a shame we have slipped so far.

I just love this show it was some exciting to see all these male actors talk about personal things in their lives and to hear their laughter and enjoy the conversations with Burt, they were exciting to hear about . Especially Mickey Rooney how he felt about Judy Garland, it brought tears to my eyes knowing how he felt. Just watching these people, they were a part of my life and sure as others and to see that they're gone as well but the memories hopefully will live on and not forgotten 🥰👍❤️

Thank you for putting these on here. I can't stop smiling! I was raised by a older generation, so these names were daily conversations at our house. Jimmy Stewart was one of the most talented gentlemen Hollywood ever had! These Burt Reynolds interviews remind me of a wonderful, happy time.

how amazing is it (to anyone with a clue) that they were able to assemble such an amazing quartet of Hollywood gold at this table in one shot...this series was amazing and tragically forgotten while the mindless general public feasts on whatever crap Netflix and the like spew out. Burt was lucky to be able to do this and I don't doubt he knew it well. he was also a perfect host for this kind of thing, not just because of his charm but because of his respect for the "old guard" and being a bridge between them and the era he was part of that enabled him to do this. RIP Burt.

You know Lional Barrymore was in constant pain. He had a special car built and he would drive up to his doctor's office and honk the horn, someone would come down and give him a shot for the pain. It was probably the shot that caused him to fall asleep. Suprised none of these guys knew that.

All five sitting there are great actors, but I'm telling you Mickey Rooney, probably the most unlikely is the best of them all. And before you say I'm crazy, or think it ... just go and watch some of his movies. He can make you, or anybody cry with his dramatic performances. No exaggeration! He, I think may have been one of the first of what I call, simply a great "natural actor," example: Jeff Bridges, Gary Cooper, etc.

Burt was very good friends with these gentleman, especially Ricardo & Jimmy. Jimmy & Burt were actually neighbors for a long time. Burt worked with Ricardo on several occasions. Most of Burt's closest friends (whom he met when he 1st entered the business) were all older than he was, so he had the good fortune of hanging out with some really uncredible creative people over the years. He certainly also became connected with many greats, via his relationship with Dinah Shore.

True story about Disney and the mouse. Cause the original name was `Mortimer` Mouse. Never knew why Disney changed it and who or what inspired the change.

@@gmaureen Course not. As a matter of fact I think he was pretty competitive with Judy Garland so I never understood all that Judy, Judy sentiment. Also Van had worked with her on `The Good Old Summertime` but Rooney would not let him get a word in. Re: `Mortimer` Mouse. Read that somewhere else ie that `Uncle` Walt had named the nasty little mouse `Mortimer`. The concept as well as the name had negative fallout. So Disney had to go back to the drawing board, come up with a new concept (a more gentle, funnier mouse) and a new name (Mickey) Do not necessarily believe Disney asked him to climb up on my knee, sonny boy.

@@sandrashevey8252 Maybe Rooney was always given to embellishment/exaggeration, I don't know, but in his senior years he definitely did a good amount of it on talk shows. Yes, I read the same story about "Mortimer" and how the name wasn't well received, etc. Think Walt's wife had some input as well. Here's Mickey claiming to have given Marilyn Monroe her name: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpfKh6ejeJhghas&ab_channel=MarilynMonroeVideoArchives I saw this show when it first aired, wish the whole thing was available, Milton got so mad at Mickey I thought he was going to punch him. :
