I was really surprised that Ducati phased out my bike, the café racer, but this one is such a great combination of the best design elements from the flat track/full throttle and café! If I were to buy again today I'd probably go with this one. The turn signals are great looking too. Perfect blend of modern and retro

Yeah, got it last month... The turning signals got recalled in the US. Ducati made dealers change them.

Indeed. Did you know you can program the turn lights to switch off automatically after turning? it took me a while to get into programming the settings on the display, but I was quite surprised after hearing many reviews say that there was not much information there. It shows you the date you can look at kilometers or miles per hour, the temperature around the bike in Celsius or Fahrenheit, you can see how many miles or kilometers remaining before your tank is empty, you have a fuel gauge as a visual LED, and of course RPM gauge and speedometer. That's much more than you need. The simplicity and joy of riding the Ducati Night Shift, and the distinguished look is a perfect combination for a street scrambler that stands out from the crowd. And best of all, it is a joy to ride

These were not built as a cheap alternative, it's a Modern Classic like BMW NineT, Benelli Imperiale and Honda CB1100, Yamaha. It's a style of bike that is very popular, so they are keeping up with their competition. To refer it to the Panigale is just ridiculous, of course a Hyper Sports is going to be more expensive.

Great video, one of the few reviews of this bike in English. It was very relaxed and casual, which I really appreciate. There's one at Mountain Motorsports near me that I've been eyeing. I'm 6'4(5) and I'm worried this will be too small for me. It's a damn gorgeous bike though.

EDIT: I went down to the dealer and had a look at the bike. My opinion: I am 181cm tall and for me the bike felt to be very small. Although the foot pegs position, seat height seems to be good for the short time that I had with the bike I am sceptical about riding it for longer distances. I also had a look at the 1100 Sport Pro and that suits me better. So I ordered the 1100 Sport Pro instead of the Nightshift. I am planning to buy this. 2 questions though: 1. What is the top speed of this bike ? can I ride this bike constantly and comfortably at 165kmph (100mph) without killing it ? 2. Ducati Air cooled = Heat issue. Is this still a problem ? Especially for the Scrambler ? As this is a relatively new bike, reviews/info is scarce. Any help would be much appreciated.
@salsamancer3 жыл бұрын
Riding any naked at 100mph for a long time isn't going to be a lot of fun. No wind protection.
@sandalffpv74423 жыл бұрын
I got the 2019 cafe racer now for quite some time now and its pretty similar to this one i think. So for 1) going above 130 kph you get a lot of wind on your chest & head. Regarding the engine it won't kill it i assume. You will be in the higher revs like 7000ish or maybe more? But max V is at 190kph. For 2) no issue so far - even riding in 30°C. But you want to avoid citys as going slow and especially waiting at traffic lights will heat it up real quick until it nearly gets uncomfortably hot. generally speaking - it always runs kinda hot because air cooled.

Why not say what gear you are in, or how the shifting is? Why not show the under seat storage? Why not give more details instead of just saying 'I like this bike' 30 times.

I like the look but I feel like my 3rd Gen SV650 is a better value proposition, handles well, has the same power and weight but only cost me $6500 off the floor with ABS. I had plenty left to buy a Corbin seat, Yoshimura carbon exhaust, LED lights, etc., And still thousands less than this bike.
@jamesmartone19013 жыл бұрын
Also easier to wrench on and maintain.
@BurtoniMotors3 жыл бұрын
I think if you are speaking machine to machine, sure it's got a better value proposition but the value of the "ducati brand" is what people are paying for here. Also, your SV650 is not a "cafe racer" so it's a little like comparing apples to oranges here. If you were talking about the Monster 621, then sure.
