What a utter disgrace all around. Steve Dale has consistently used the old age old tactic that everything is someone else's fault. For somebody to be allowed to buy a football club for £1 and to you only have to have a quick look on his company history to build a picture of the guy, how on earth have the EFL allowed this to happen? Of course the previous owner has basically stripped the club of every asset he could find but Dale has come in hoping to find something else he can milk from the club. As a Port Vale fan little did I know I witnessed Burys last professional game on a day they were celebrating their promotion. My heart goes out. We've also had a chairman who had us over a barrel, it could easily have been us. I wish Bury all the best and over time you'll rise again

Makes me feel there should be some sort of independent club union that the owners/clubs and leagues should be contracted into and fund. There is so much money ploughed into football that this should never be able to happen.

It’s absolutely awful. This really shouldn’t happen in 2019.. Steve dale is an absolute bellend. I just don’t understand how so much money is being thrown around in the premier league and clubs like this can just disappear.. I support Newcastle, I think we have it bad... but this, seeing the 90 year old fan almost in tears talking about going from the age of 7 is absolutely heartbreaking. Everyone in football is horrified watching this happen. It’s shit... I’m sorry for every one of you, you don’t deserve any of this.

Just seen news that takeover has fallen through ! What a tragedy for club and town ! Would there be anyway the fans could actually own it ? Fans buying shares at say £100 to save the club Unfortunately the Premier elite don’t need or want home grown talent but splash the cash abroad ! Perhaps the super rich premier clubs could pay a percentage of their profits into a fund to support struggling clubs like Bury and Bolton to save them going under ? Clubs like Bury and Bolton often bind disadvantaged communities and areas together ! The amount of money in the premiership is divisive - football was a traditional working class game - now the game for investors , PLC Perhaps everybody with their head in the trough ie agents , owners , investors could pay into a central fund to help these small clubs with even interest free loans - long term loans to keep them going ! Would be great if fans could buy shares and take back control of clubs from greedy business men 😡😡
