indeed. The storm playing really sells it for me. It gives off that true "no coming home" factor for burying the light so far deep in himself. No turning back, and he accepts the arduous battle ahead of himself, content to drift in that ocean of his own making all alone. It's bittersweet and telling of Vergil's struggle and power driven motives. He truly is the storm approaching. And though deep down he knows this path is not right, he cannot stop now. Like an ever insatiable animal, he wrecks havoc and consumes all around him like a hurricane hell bent on displaying its power over nature. I don't know what I just typed out but pretend it means something, cuz I sure as hell don't know what I'm talking about.

You know what this feels like to me, it's when Vergil is holding Nero close to him, Nero suffering a fatal blow that's ever so slowly draining his life away. That blow was for Vergil, not for him, it was a miracle he was still breathing, but the miracle couldn't extend to him surviving. As the life in Nero's eyes slowly dwindles, he slowly puts his hand to Vergil's cheek, for a long time, felt the same despair as the feeling of Eva forgetting him, Nero's hand gently connects to Vergil's cheek, before letting out a weak chuckle, "See...I caught up with ya..." The duel, he fondly remembers his duel with his own son for the first time. And the second. And the third. He was always one step short of him, but Nero always vowed to get stronger, to protect those that he cares for. "...Tell Kyrie...I'm sorry." With his once vibrant blue eyes turning dull, Nero Sparda, was dead. And again, Vergil has lost something dear to him. Dante who was fending off demon after demon to give the two a moment, felt...power resonating from Vergil. Hate. A call for vengeance. Vergil has always motivated himself to be stronger, to gain more power, so that he might be able to protect once more... It began to rain, there was no concept of weather in Hell, but it became clear that the 'raindrops' was blood, as if it was mocking Vergil's lost. Vergil gently places Nero to the ground, closing his eyes before standing up and picking Nero's Red Queen, firmly gripping it's handle. "Dante. Take Nero somewhere...I'll handle this." No sarcastic remarks, no one-liners, no quips, Dante understood. Vergil laid his cold gaze at the demons that surrounded the twins. With one hand on Red Queen and the other firmly gripped at the scabbard of Yamato, his thumb pressing the guard upwards, letting the signature sound of his katana ready to be unsheathed. A moment passes as Dante took Nero's body away, he was going to give his son a proper funeral, he was going to give Kyrie a last chance to be with Nero, but before that. He has to deal with the scums before him... Vergil's focus couldn't be more firm than ever, as before he transforms into his Devil Trigger... "You...all SHALL DIE!" So a slaughter begins. Man I did not need to put this much effort.

I can just imagine that when Vergil returns in DMC6 he returns to assist Dante and Nero during the final battle against Mundus amidst a heavy thunderstorm.During the battle Dante and Nero are defeated by Mundus who has grown in strength since his last appearance and just as when all hope seems lost for our Devil hunters. The two both look in the distance and see Vergil standing still amidst the crackling thunder and heavy rain. Mundus says "is that all the descendants of Sparda have to offer?" Dante and Nero both smile and say "no but you are very screwed now" and Vergil approaches Mundus and strikes him down with his blade while Bury the Light starts playing amidst a very powerful storm. When the dust clears. Dante, Vergil and Nero finish Mundus off with the famous catchphrase of "Jackpot" as they defeat the demon king together I know this sounds random but I can just imagine a scene like that when this version of Bury the Light is playing.

As Nero, unwilling to die, shed one last tear, he mutters these words To himself, to Nico, to Dante, to Kyrie, to his dad; "I'm sorry..." Lifelessly, his hand struck the floor, and no more was Nero living. Dante couldn't help but shed a few tears; BUT At this moment, Vergil lands beside a tear-filled angry Dante, who grabs him by his collar, screaming: "Where have you been you no-good milk-getting father?! If you had arrived here sooner, your son would've still survived!" Vergil, glancing at his son's body, begin to let regret and guilt fuel his body. Through unknown circumstances, Vergil is the only one who gained a power to heal beings near death as he please. But, once dead, nothing can be done. For the first time, in a very long time, _Vergil has shed tears._ A few minutes pass, he slowly turns to Dante, muttering weakly. "You take him back...and give him the send off he deserves" "I know what I do, and I will do what I should have been doing five minutes earlier..." Dante, silent, nods and holds Nero's lifeless corpse, then flies away Vergil then looks at the enemies, along with an unknown boss in the distance Clenching his fist, he transforms beyond Sin Devil Trigger "Overlord of Sparda", as he calls it Stancing up, he screams a painful and vengeful taunt; *"YOUR NIGHTMARE BEGINS HERE!"* Battle music cued, swords ready, Vergil was ready to end the new apocalypse, the exact one that killed his dear son
