Bus 7 Walk Around and Drive

This is a 1999 Blue Bird TC2000FE with a Cummins Engine, Allison PTS3000 Push Button Transmission, Air Brakes, 90 passenger Body with Seating for 84, Tinted Windows, White Roof, LED Brake and Turning Lights on the Rear Only, and Dual Stop Arms.
This bus was bought used from National Bus Sales out of Tulsa, OK. It lacks many of the things that we in the North expect like heated mirrors, and heaters in general.

That's how it was when we got it. The front one is air operated and the back one is electric also. Mismatched all the way around.

Aside from it having only 1 passenger heater and dash defrost only, it is. Wouldn't want to drive it in the winter though.

Liar. TCs were stopped being manufactured in 2003 and the RE variants in the late 90s.

We got this in 2011, some time around Thanksgiving. It hasn't run a route yet though, lots of problems.

The former owners probably added the rear one as an after through. I'd imagine it's much easier to add an electric stop sign than an air operated one.

I'd imagine it's easier to install an electric one since the bus originally only had one stop arm in the front.

PTS3000 in 1999? I thought the PTS series came out around 2003 or so.... MD3060? That is a nice bus... too bad it's lacking those things.

looks like two mismatched stop arms the front is the air actuated Specialty the rear is a Transpec electric actuated unit. too bad all the TC2000s are gone here due to the local school district regulating on the age of the busses that can be in service.
