She's gorgeous. I think you could easily live in her permanently. It's a good life. I lived in my small LDV Convoy minibus for 4 years. Having the dogs travelling with you takes away any loneliness you may have.

Goedemorgen Han, ik heb mijn camper naar de sloop moeten brengen en ben nu hard aan het sparen voor een volgende camper. Ik ben erg gecharmeerd van de Ford Nugget hoogdak maar dat ding is 3 meter hoog. Daar heb ik moeite mee ...jouw video s laten zien dat het prima te doen is met een hoge bus. Prachtig dat je dit allemaal wilt delen. En ik ben het volledig met je eens, je camper is een echte dame...zo voelt het voor mij ook!

Greetings from Australia. Great video! We have two conversions; one is a 1992 12 metre Mercedes O303 which we live in, and a 1996 12.5 metre MAN 22-420 which I'm working on at the moment. One day I'll get around to doing a video. Diesel until a few months ago was €0.85/ litre. Now we pay €1.40 which is no fun. So far we haven't travelled much; just down to our son's home which is 6 hours away. One day we hope to do some free camping once I get our solar working. I couldn't call out 22-420 a "she" if it's a MAN, can I? 😃🤣Cheers

Thanks, Coover. A O303 is great! 1992... that must be one of the most recent ones Diesel prices here are even worse: around € 2,-/L BTW: I think it's more than okay to consider your M.A.N. a lady. I do too (mine has a M.A.N. engine). If people ask, I just tell them that M.A.N. has nothing to do with a man, but means Machinenfabrik Augsburg Neurenberg. Mostly they accept 🤣 Cheers to you too.

It would be great to get ur splitter on the gearbox working again . The vanhool buses are great . But some of these old bus conversions are nice too . I once saw one such bus in tenerife it was a local guy who had her it was a converted ex transfer bus that spent its life delivering people to and from the resorts to the airport . It was an old mercedes very retro it was aearly 70s . Very interesting bus hed bn all over europe in her id love to do one myself or buy one allready done . Love ur vids hope ur both and dogs super well pls take care

Great conversion, I've just finished my own conversion of a 2004 Temsa Samba and having seen your video I am impressed with your awning setup. Could you tell me the make and manufactures name please, also do you have a folding ladder stored somewhere to feed it through the rail ?

Thank you, FyingWoolf. The awning was custom made by a Dutch tent-maker. The awning is extra high because I wanted it to be over the very high door as well. So with the door open it doesn't rain in straight away. And yes, I do have a telescopic ladder. It is stored in the back. Lots of succes with your Temsa Samba! That is a bus with very nice dimensions for motorhome/RV!

wat een superrrrr video..👍 genoten van je uitleg over jou/jullie huis op wielen, dat je er vast in wil gaan wonen kan ik me helemaal goed voorstellen, want het is echt je huis maar dan op wielen..wij zijn de gelukkige bezitter van een Knaus Sun Ti Platinum Edition (wel uitgebreid, maar dan weet je waar we het over hebben) wij zijn nu twee keer (sinds mijn pensionering ) op langere reizen geweest en mijn vrouw en ik hebben het ervaren als echt ons huis op wielen, ook al is de ruimte niet zo groot als jullie bus (al scheelt het maar 1.20meter) wij kunnen ons met ze tweetjes er best in redden en kunnen ons er best in redden.👍👍 wij begrijpen dat je/jullie er ook in thuis voelen en vinden de uitleg die je over jullie huis hebt gegeven geweldig. voor straks als we weer op reis mogen wens ik jullie heeeeeel veel camperplezier en wie weet komen we elkaar ergens On The Road tegen.. groet van een mede camperaar.😉👍👍 de 👍👍👍 hebben jullie dubbel verdient.👍👍👍👍

Wat is de route die je moet volgen om de bus te registreren als camper. Je koopt een bus, bouwt hem om, zijn er bepaalde voorwaarden waar je aan moet voldoen om als camper geregistreerd te worden? En dan schouwen bij RDW? En hoe zit het met verzekeren? Alleen C rijbewijs, geen code95? Zomaar een paar praktische vragen

Ja, inbouwen naar eisen van RDW en Belastindienst. Die eisen zijn overigens niet helemaal gelijk. C is voldoende, dus geen code 95. Qua verzekeren kun je het beste terecht bij de NKC. Die hebben ook een speciale ombouwverzekering.

Owning another VanHool B10, just a little bigger, UK based. We have also converted 'her' for living as a camper/RV. Finishing this year we hoped to be in Europe this year. C19 has stopped that, so we hope to see you on the road somewhen next year. However, I would like more information about the auxiliary air compressor you have fitted. We get up to driving pressure, (brakes, clutch etc) in about 5-minutes. We fitted a new engine driven air compressor. We also carry an electric air compressor, but not (till now) thought to use it to decrease the start-up time. We have an airline where we can connect to a workshop style air source. That's part of the original Volvo-build. IS that where you have connected your electric compressor too ? What auto controls have you added ? Many thanks. :-)

appledore92, thanks. Yes, that's where I fitted it. My compressor is a Jun-Air 3-1.5. A small and very silent one (like a fridge). I didn't need to add controls, it's just something that came with the Jun-Air and you can adjust it. Make sure you get the 10-bar version, because the 8-bar version won't do the job. It takes about 1 amp/230Volts. If you like I can send you the manual (pdf). See you out there!

Met de bus zijn we naar Alpencamp Mariënberg geweest, in Oostenrijk. Prima voorzieningen en goed te bereizen, want net over de grens. 't Was er toen wel héél erg koud!

Rijbewijs C, want de bus is max 12 ton. De wegenbelasting.... dat durf ik bijna niet op te schrijven 😁. Ik reken zo'n € 8,- / dag. Dat komt redelijk uit. En met regelmatig schorsen komt me dat op 500 à 600 per jaar in totaal.

@@vdban Dat hangt van de luchtlekkages in je bus af - in de meest ideale situatie lekt hij helemaal niet. Lekt het erg, dan loop je hem na, en moet je het makkelijk met een relatief kleine compressor af kunnen.. (niet erg afhankelijk van de grootte van het monster, dus. 😊 ) Goeie reis! 😊👍👍

@Martin van den Ban de maat/afmeting maakt op zich niet zo veel uit. Ik kom weg met een kleintje. Althans voor onderhoudslading. Als je echt flinke luchtlekkages hebt, gaat het niet lukken. Dan draait je compressortje overuren en wordt te warm.

Greetings, I'm thinking of getting a bus in Europe to transform but I'm having issues finding out what vehicle category this falls under as I must get the license in order to drive it, is it a D/D1 or a C/C1? I know before the transformation it is a class D, but after modifying it, considering it only has 6 seats instead of 9+ I am confused. Thank you in advance!

Hi TheNeonGuy, mine is a license C, but I guess it will depend on where you're coming from. Regulations are not the same in every country. In the Netherlands it is pretty complicated. In my case this bus is registrated as an average car (with RV/MH registration), but then over 3500 kg, max 9 seats, including the driver. If the max weight is under 7500 kg, C1 would do the job, but my bus is max 12000 kg, so I need C. Which is the same as a regular truck drivers license. I used the word 'bus' 2 times now in this answer, but to be strict: that is incorrect 😀. Because officially it isn't a bus anymore. If it was, I wouldn't be allowed to drive it, because that would require license C. Are you still with me? 😉 Complicated! And again, those are the regulations overhere..... Gr Han Verdi Husky & RV
