Are we... engaged? What am I ever going to tell my wife? Also, I JUST today figured out your comment from a week ago about RIP discord. The link in this video will not expire.

You mention having a plan and sticking to it, but I didn't see you throw that plan out the window for a losing Ko fight... 🤔

They can't all be winners... or losers in that case.

21:33 I always struggle to understand your endgame moves: How is B7 bigger than ~F14?? (or M15) (Edit): okay, playing sente moves first make sense ... still pretty sure those are more points than the second line moves. You seem to ignore 3x3 and larger areas neutral areas. So my rule for you would be: "if there is a 3x3 or larger neutral area on the board, then you should play this before second line moves in the endgame."

It is all about sente. B7 is sente for BOTH players. M15 is only sente for white. F14 is gote. B17 is sente for white, but gote for black. So white wants to play the move that is sente for both players first, and then follow up with the other sente moves. After there are no more sente moves, we can play the largest gote move.

I just don't get it. You play G12, then run with K12, stating G12 can be sacrificed. If you let it die, presumably the opponent has split the 2 stones, then it's exactly the same as having played K12 in the first place and not having invaded deep and being blocked around J12, isn't it ? What do you gain by playing deep, already being ok with assuming it's going to die ? Are you just hoping they will make a mistake ?

We can use the G12 stone to get forced exchanges that will get us just as deep into the area. Take a look at online-go.com/review/1290761 for some ideas as to how we can do that. I plan on doing a basics on invasions that will go over some of these strategies.
