Igidae Park is located over a hill from Yongha Sewage Treatment Plant in Yongho 3-dong, the eastern region where Jangsanbong Peak faces the ocean. Jangsanbong Peak rock cliffs boasts a remarkable scenery, which can only be viewed by taking a boat as the areas nearby the cliffs are too dangerous to hike. However, the cliff at the center of Igidae is not vertically steep, but creates a 2 km long almost horizontal slope that connects the mountain with the ocean. Not only does the slope offer an extraordinary view of the ocean waves, but also serves as an excellent fishing spot. The area was used as for military operation and prohibited from civilian access until 1993.
The park, with its rugged cliffs, and lush greenery, is visited by many tourists as it is easily accessible and has a walking trail with outstanding scenery. The red camellia flowers blooming all over the park in the spring are particularly beautiful.

Wow. Thanks for sharing this hike! I'm going to Busan end of May and want to do this hike. I've been searching high and low about this route starting from Oryukdo Skywalk to the other end which you did in this video. Most of the videos and blogs start the other way and end at the Skywalk. The video is over an hour so I think I can safely say that it may take me double or triple the time with lots of stopovers for rest, photo ops and just enjoying the scenery along the way. I drank 2 bottles of water just watching this hiking video of yours. LOL. But seriously, this video is exactly what I wanted to see to judge myself about the hike if I'm capable of doing so and time frame. I'll need to watch your other videos in Busan later. Thank you. When did you do this hike and what time of day? Is there a taxi or bus at your endpoint in the video or do you have to walk further out?

Welcome to walkscapes and thanks for watching! I walked this in early July, late afternoon. I was harder than I expected because I have walked another trail in that same day, in the morning: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJfEc4lme7OkhdE I had a friend of my mine picked me up but you can easily find a taxi. You can even use a community bus at my endpoint. If you cannot find any taxi/bus, walk down little-maybe 5 or 10 minutes, you will find a taxi. Good luck and have fun. :-)

@@walkscapes Thank you. I just finished watching the Jeoryeong Coastal Trail video. I was looking at this trail also but don't think I have the time for it. But I plan to walk from Taejongdae Park entrance to the Lighthouse and Observatory area early in the morning then back down then take the bus to Huinnyeoul Culture Village which I think is where you started in the other video. Again, thank you. Your videos help a lot.

@@walkscapes Fun fact, Im at the factory of heineken at this exact moment for my work 😁 But you're right there are no mountains here , the highest one is 322m high and its at the border. Highest Ive been was in austria at 3400m, the silence is beautiful from these kind of places. Ive never had a lot interest in your country to go for holidays but since Ive been watching some videos it looks to me as a nice place to visit. Enjoy your heineken 🍺!
