How To Get Here:
Metro train to Songjeong station and take an 8min taxi ride to the temple itself. This is not easily accessible by foot.

Haedong Yonggungsa is a good temple on a coastal area in Busan where I grew up. But this temple looks like a Chinese temple, not Korean. In this temple, most of the letters and pillars were painted red, which Chinese people like, and the stone statues were placed in the shape of the statues in typical Chinese temples. We'd better replace them with Korean colors and Korean sculptures as soon as possible and show the world the eternal beauty of the unique Korean Buddhist art culture. *This temple sounds and looks like a Chinese temple, not Korean. 해동용궁사 좋은 절입니다. 그런데 내가 자라난 부산에 있는 이 절은 모든 글자들과 기둥 등 온통 중국애들 좋아하는 빨간색으로 칠해 놓고, 석상들도 중국 절에 있는 석상 모양으로 갖다 놓았습니다. 조속히 한국적인 빛깔들과 석상들로 교체해서 한국 불교문화의 유구한 고유미를 세계인들에게 자랑합시다. 한마디로 중국 절 같습니다. 세계적인 미항 부산해안의 자연스러운 경관을 몹시 해치고 있고요. 같은 동해안의 관동팔경 중 하나라는 조그마한 절 양양 낙산사를 참고할 필요도 있겠습니다. 지금은 가장 한국적인 것이 가장 세계적인 것이 되는 시대잖습니까? 다시 한번 용궁사에 가 보겠습니다.
