I used to wear all those big jewelry looks & genuine stone jewelry. I passed them along to my eldest daughter when she turned 40 and she loves them❤ Simplicity is key for me as I age. I prefer smaller more delicate pieces & a much softer look. I love my classic pearls. I think they're classic elegance that never go out of style❤

Hmm, possibly own every color? lol Some classic others more trendy? I do own/like med size hoop earrings but prefer my classic diamond studs for every day wear. Yes, that's the colour analysis from the 80's. Is about to colour yourself beautiful, with the right colours to your own, you'll look beautiful. Pastels are only for those with bright hair and blue eyes, Black and white are for ppl with black hair and brown eyes, with black or white skin, they fits sharp colours to. Ppl with brown or red hair and brown, green or blue eyes, shall have warm colours as beige, brown, bottle green, mustard yellow, Orange, natural white. The colours who fits everyone are sharp pink ( cerise), navy blue, light green and red violet, those colours get warm with warm colour, and cold with the cold ones.

I’m loving Dean Davidson. It’s sleek, edgy, and feminine. I have two medium/larger studs from them that I absolutely LOVE. I want more pieces. I’m also loving huggie style hoops. I find it difficult to nail down my personal style but somehow the jewelry I choose has a very clear voice. What is THAT about? I’m guessing is because that is the fashion element my late Mum invested in most AND what was most distinctive on her. Yet my style is very different. It’s interesting. I often feel like the fashions I like are too influenced by others but I a, unwaveringly consistent about jewelry. I think this video, and the statement necklace link in particular, have just really helped me get a clearer vision for my personal style. Still not sure what to call it but it is definitely NOT going to fit certain style types that I was thinking I might be. Thanks, Erin!

I’ve purchased magnetic clasps to modify all my small clasp necklaces. Now I don’t have to fuss with them and they pop on and off very easily. I get them from etsy. I always buy gold fill, not plated so they never wear down or tarnish. All you do it attach the necklace to each side of the magnetic clasp and you’re in business.

Hi Pat- If you have a statement necklace you should keep other items simple so that the necklace can take center stage. This doesn't mean you can't wear a bracelet or earrings, but keep them on the smaller side. xo
