Wow, i haven't seen a BYD Electric Bus in use before,usually i would see them as a demo.

see243 Yeah, I'd only seen BYD Electric buses as demos myself... until I went to San Francisco and saw them in service for Margeurite Shuttle.

TheCRTman At 0:10 what would those buses be ( a Gillig Phantom ) ? Also at 0:17 would those be those nasty Van Hools ? It seems like you guys have some D60LF's at 5:59. At 6:09 would that be Samtrans 1998 Gillig Phantom ? It also seems like you guys have C40LF's down there as well 10:25 and an Orion V CNG at 11:13.

Yep, that's a VTA 1999 Gillig Phantom (most Phantoms had traditional headlights, but some TA's like SamTrans and VTA got these ones). Yep that is a Van Fool artic. Oh yeah, I forgot VTA has D60LFs (yet D40LF's are just not too common). yep that was one of my babies. I'm shocked 627 was still running in 2014, as most low 600's were retired and sold in 2012. I've never seen that C40LF before... this needs to be renamed "Buses in the Bay Area" because most of these buses run outside of SF. I've never seen that Orion V CNG either.

TheCRTman So normal Phantoms don't have that square headlight ? Those are soo disgusting, why would they run those things. Well, I guess you could try those D60LF's instead of GGT's. Still haven't seen a D40LF in that area ( besides the airport one ). I knew it, I remembered it by your signature on CPTDB. So 627 was one of the last of its kind roaming around ? You haven't ? Do you know where that place is at ?

Ninja Bus Fan Well there were three different headlight choices and the traditional dual head light was the most common. In the early 1980's, an odd triple head light set was pretty popular. Some idiot who was running AC in 2003 thought these Van Fools from Belgium were superior to the Gilligs and NFI's that they replaced and kept buying more. Well VTA is a bit out of my reach (I've never even taken them). I wish I could ride VTA's Phantoms though. :/ Yeah, D40LFs just weren't popular here. Yep, those are my famous 1998 Gilligs. ;) 623, 624, 626, and 627 were the last of their kind. I never saw 627 around my area in San Mateo though. Nope, I have no idea. XD

TheCRTman I see and then Samtrans and VTA choose that single one then ? That guy should burn in hell, why would you get those ugly shits :/ How far is it ? I see a bunch of Samtrans buses at that bus station. Are they still around ? That sucks, their one of the most popular buses out there, everyone had them. In part 2 you could see 667 ? and how long ago did those retire and did it ever show up to your area ? Well it has San Jose in the name so maybe there ? IDK, I guess you gotta ride a VTA bus to there, then you could ride those C40LF's, C40LFR's, and Orion V CNG's.

Ninja Bus Fan Well others chose single (even in the mid-1980's), but yeah SamTrans and VTA chose single. He was nuts and actually is no longer part of AC (thank goodness). San Jose ain't really right down the corner for me. :/ Nope, all of the Gillig Phantoms except for 661, 663, and 668 are retired. 623 (was a beast). 623 & 626 were speed demons!! Yeah, the D40LF looks nice. Part 2? 667 is retired as well. I really want to ride there last 1997 Phantoms before those are gone. Yeah the C40LF does look pretty nice.
