I would absolutely love to go shopping in that yard. Those "vintage" buses/coaches have fantastic lines with a fit, finish, and elegance that seems to be lost in the years past. Cool video, thanks for sharing it!

One thing very Different from yanky buses to Ausie ones is that all ours have Big BULL BARS on them. The thing is we really need BULL BARS too over here. I'll never forget the night I was in the front seat and we were cruising on 120 Kms/hr, just came over a rise & suddenly there was a heard of cattle on the road, well we Nailed at least 5 or 6 of them. I thought I was going to have cows through the windscreen on my lap. Well as it turns out the BULL BAR took it rather well, it got bent back & put an inch deep crease across the nose from the BULL BAR hitting it & all the lights were smashed, but other than that the bus was ok. We all got off while the driver drove forward/ reverse to get the dead cows out from under the bus, mean while another bus came & we had to follow it for it's lights to the next city. Oh yea what a night that was.

Lovely to see all these. Years ago, I rescued a 1957 Bedford SB Duple Vega coach, as a non runner -for Very cheap.. Much work later, got her moving and she was used as a reliable head-turning RV vehicle with tons of character ! Great channel. So glad to see some Saved -for now..

I've seen photos of Duple Vega coaches and they were all dripping with gorgeous stainless and polished aluminum "road bling" over the classic lines of yesteryear. Any I have seen definitely met the criteria to qualify as head-turners.

Interesting to see a gas or diesel powered Marmon Herrington bus in that yard. As a kid I remember the Marmon Herrington trolley coaches in Columbus Ohio. Marmon's model designation for them was TC 48. Columbus Transit Company, or CTC, had a sizeable fleet of TC 48 trolley coaches. Trolley coaches ran until 1965 in Columbus.

My favorite vintage buses are the Fageol Twin Coaches, the GMC old look buses, the Fishbowls, and the barrel back Crowns. I also like the coaches that had the big air scoops on the top rear of the bus. Many of those ran old Buick Straight 8 engines. the Fageol has two engines mounted pancake style under the bus. I also have a soft spot for the old Kenworth Pacifics.

There's just some kinda old magic history behind all those old buses. I wish the story came with them all.

Really weird to see a bus I have ridden in one of your films. But cool. It was a dinosaur when I traveled on it. Interestingly two of the newer busses in the group developed trouble but this one kept going with no problems. Thanks for the memory !:)

I've seen both Old Busses and Street Cars that have the recessed "Monkey Butt" Split Windshields (mid screen @0:39). Did some contractor build this type of Windshield Assemblies (or possibly entire Coach Frames) for both Busses and Street Cars?

Buses are only good if they're on the road being used. I hope these don't just lay there for the next 50 years.
