Sometimes youtube is still doing some work in the background when published. I've seen early drops only be available in 480p, only to be available in 1080p or higher a couple hours later. It's stupid, and maybe unrelated, but maybe not.

My grandfather was in a plane crash with one of the bush pilots of the North after the war. He lived, obviously. They had to get rescued but everyone made it. Any landing you can walk away from is a good one. The bush pilots influenced my family to take up aviation for the next couple of generations.

Open cockpit, in the Arctic? Forget that!!! How the hell did they protect their face? Eyes, ears, and nose can only be protected up to a point. Even with goggles, no ice shards from the tear ducts? They must have been mouth breathing the entire time they were in high elevation. Q to pilots: In that kind of atmosphere and terrain, do pilots just fly like 100 feet above the treetops? Making sure not to get too high up? But then only accounting for mountains when necessary to go over then and then back down again?
@TheManFrayBentos
@TheManFrayBentos 6 күн бұрын
They had a low screen, which would be very effective at flying speed. Lot of early pilots just didn't like the idea of being behind a proper enclosed windscreen, in case of wipe-out conditions.

It is considered established lore that all contracted writers and editors reside in the dungeon underneath Chateau Whistler in the Czech countryside, subsisting on what sunlight manages to make it through the two windows over the course of the year, and if they're good, they might get some AG1 instead of the gruel and whatever water they manage to conjure through condensation and pure luck...so some of them would be okay AF with skipping dinner 🤣
