2 bad things about taking a dog fishing: It can disturb the fish and it can wear out your dog. But as long as you don't make anybody mad at the local fishing hole, and you look for signs of fatigue, it's the best thing I can think of for a dog. A friend had a golden retriever that was the runt of the litter. He got the pup in the spring and spent the whole summer with that dog fishing on the Lochsa River. That dog was nothing but muscle and ended up being the biggest, strongest and fastest adult dog from that litter. There were a couple times she got herself in trouble, because she was getting tired but still wanted to chase sticks or go out and "land" the next fish.

Both of us felt that we should live our lives to the fullest now, as our lives are too short.

For sure.. there must have been 3-4 times the amount of leg work seen in the video.. Awesome video which I enjoyed. I used to live like this until an accident turned me into an apartment hermit. Worst part is I can no longer offer my old dog this life, so I am glad we enjoyed it while we could.
