Camping in caves can be a breeze, you don’t need much of a kit, your shelter is already set and it is guaranteed protection from the elements with a fire.

exactly, I watch a ton of videos and they don’t really inspire my real life. When watching The Lore I often pause and tinker with my kit - I’ve made similar shoulder bag from a dump pouch and a shoulder strap.

Hello mate, the outdoors is an oasis for us all, it is simply our natural environment. And going to Woods, is coming alive. As far as Kit goes, there are many cutbacks that I do, such as not purchasing that $5 coffee and eating out. I make most of my food at home and grind my own coffee there as well, I don't have a girlfriend presently, and I don't drive a car. This gives me the ability to purchase gear freely, I also contact companies and ask them to send me things, while also contact me on their own and send me things. I do make sure that I purchase high quality items, so that they may last, and some things I wish to pass on to my grandson. I've also been collecting for years and I'm 48 now. Posting my adventures on KZbin gives me the ability to share cherished experiences. I'm honoured you are enjoying the ride. Cheers! 💪🌱🏕️⛰️

I just found your channel a couple of hours ago thanks to a recommendation from someone in a FB bushcraft & survival group. I absolutely love the evident focus of your load-out: foraging raw materials from your environment where possible so as to minimize gear-dependency while maximizing versatility, and the gear itself is simple, durable, and rugged enough to make the most of that versatility. Equipped to provide for your needs plus simple, motivating comforts without being excessive. Your presentation style speaks volumes such that you don't have to. Liked, subbed, and looking forward to more.

I wish you were there to have tasted how good that dish was! The smoking sausage filled the stew with flavour and juices. The fresh parsley and thyme brightened it. There was also bay leaf and mirepoix in the base of that stew I sauteed in the pot the evening before when I prepped the pot. I'm glad you reached out, perhaps I should have added that behind the scenes info in the description, but I felt it was more about the cave experience. Hello, thank you! That's the Frost River Isle Royale Bushcraft Jr pack, however, I don't recommend it. It carries like a 12 year old kid on your back. No matter what you do to try to adapt it it's still dead weight. I wouldn't wish it on anyone unless they are a rugged individual or a glutton for punishment, such as myself. Don't get me wrong it's a well-constructed pack that will last generations and okay if you are only trekking a half hour or so with minimal kit. You can put a pack basket inside of it to help from pulling on your shoulders and purchase the hip belt to keep things up. Anyway if you saw in my later videos I have upgraded to the Boreal Bushcraft pack that has a lumbar support, but unfortunately the Craftsman retired. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nna6n5p8fridh6s kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2SranR_oZKWp5Y
