I was so happy to see a video pop up. Good work going on. You and Sandra work well together. I like the way she got that log going for you with the ax. Cool little table you there for you mugs or canned drinks. I'll be waiting for more videos
@IamOutdoorsy5 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot Jo! The little tables were just a spur of the moment idea when we were at the site, before we had the shelter. They turned out to be a lot more useful than I thought they would 😄.

Great video, nice to see some action at the camp. You definitely made a lot of progress, gathering is half the work when doing almost any project and there always seems to be something that crops up to slow you down. Can't wait to see the continuing progress at the camp. Thanks for sharing

Thanks Terrance! You right, it's a long, yet enjoyable process. Looking forward to getting back to the site.

I love your channel though its not as adventurous as that of other bushcrafters but i find it very realistic that any couple can do with less risk. I also like your bonding, you portray a very compatible relationship, couples that share the same interest. Sandra you are an awesome wife, you always make mike laugh, and mike, i bet you are a very good husband who knows how to appreciate your wife. I always look forward to your posted videos

Next time, try to make or buy a fire piston, an good alternative to ferro rods, am not saying its the only one but I've seen its a good alternative..take a lil more time to start a fire.....during winter or colder weather a space blanket on the fire reflective wall will send the heat back to u
@IamOutdoorsy5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips Edward! I always wanted to try the fire piston out. Hopefully I'll get one at some point.

Back at the shelter sooner than i had expected. Another great video oh and what about the water supply. That can be a topic for next trip out. Yes and you have to make it easier for older strippers. Have a great week see you next time. The temperature here is still in upper 90's day and upper 80's nights that"s Fahrenheit.

Hi Gary, I forgot to get the camera when I got some water for coffee the next morning. It was running clean. I'll make sure to get an update when we get back there.

I was wondering if u got 4 to 6 inch upright logs with a v shape at the top then put a top log on it,might be better on the trees than having it tyed to them,really injoy seeing a wife working with her husband.

Hi. Very happy to see you guys. Sandra you are very strong, but just be very careful with the ax. I like orange doors, lol. Nice grill and Mike, you are becoming a good cook. Excelent work with the water source, very important. I will be checking to have another good video from my favorite couple. You are so fun to watch. From Nevada, happy shelter. Blessings, health and love. The Old Fart.

I was wondering . . . wouldn't a timber curved draw shave help to speed up your processing of logs before you hang them or mount them to your various projects? Your firewood shed, nonetheless, is coming along nicely.

Love your shelter vids, it's how I found your channel. Hope you can sort out the ants (I've heard mint works) but I don't suppose they'll be an issue when winter hits. I look forward to your next visit to the forest atb Vin.

Thanks Just Vin, the ants shouldn't be a problem in winter, just don't want them to wake up when we get the super shelter nice and hot 😄.
