The amount of work that goes into simple comforts like food, water, heat, light, and something comfortable to sleep in really makes you appreciate and hate our modern world at the same time.

Seems Bonny is calmer and she's not barking at all the noises she hears like she was doing being on your homestead has really helped her; she is more mellow now, she is like a different dog; but she is still on guard for you she'll let you know if something or someone is around; great shelter and an excellent location for it this is a great video thank you for sharing your shelter and Bonny with us, we can all learn from this

im born and raised in southern calif. and spent many vacations in the deserts of new mexico, arizona, and utah. watching you make this shelter by THROWING the mud at the wall is so fascinating because that is the same way the native americans made theirs. they repair them the same way. most places in the world are too wet for adobe. its just plain mud w/ straw or grass mixed in. i guess throwing the mud is the best way to make sure it adheres to the wall. good job!!

Close to my ideal for a longer-term shelter. (I also enjoyed seeing it in action in a more recent, snowy video!) Wind, rain, and snow were kept at arm's length. The chimney on the fireplace draws well and its fire could have been pulled more into the shelter to dry things off. As it stands, there was plenty of space for cooking under shelter and for storing wood and gear.
@MrSheckstr2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately in order to provide regular content , KZbin providers that focus on bushcraft internet skills are often obligated to show builds of structures meant for times longer than they have available to remain on location and film. That’s why you have so many videos of what I like to call secondary shelters. A primary shelter might be something like a lean to shelter with a open area in front of it for a good size fire. It’s good for getting through the night , so long as the weather does not get significantly worse and or the winds do not shift and start coming from a different direction. A secondary shelter becomes more enclosed and perhaps has the ability to light a small drying and cooking fire inside the shelter. A few content providers like survival Lily Have access to enough land to have several “super shelters” that she slowly improves over the course of several videos, and or takes down to reuse the materials on newer projects

Kostas🏕👍👍 Good to see you and Bonny out in the wild again building a new camp shelter, this is one cool shelter. The fireplace is genius, built to last for sure. I'm sure it will perform well for many seasons to come just as the shelter will. Bonny looks healthy and well taken care of as usual, hope all your pups are doing good. Beautiful shelter build, perfect hide-a-way in the wilderness. A lot of work in two days but totally worth it. Those steaks looked delicious and Bonny got some too, nice! Spring is close at hand and with all the previous shelter builds, you'll have plenty to choose from to use any time you like. Great video, well filmed as always, good job brother, thanks. Take care, good health to you both. See you next time. Enjoy!
