I am a huge fan of the Regular Bushmills, and the 10-year-old as well, I finally got a chance to get the Black bush and it blows all of the others out of the water. It is one of the few whiskies I will always have a spare on hand and if I could drink only 1, right now it would be the black bush. sadly, they show up in very limited amounts locally and I get what I can but it might be another year before I can get more. Frankly heartbreaking.

Tried this for the first time over the holidays. While grilling outdoors in cold weather, it was very crushable as a neat pour. Pleasant, easy drink in casual settings and great value. Definitely a crowd pleaser.

I think it's exceptionally smooth. It's really one of my all time favorite whiskies.

I just bought a bottle but haven’t opened it yet because I’m waiting to pair it with one of my fine cigars. Weather in NYS right now isn’t ideal for smoking a cigar lol, so I’m waiting to get to a cigar lounge. But your review is a great help! Have you reviewed “The Irishman” or “Greenspot” and or any of the “Powers” Irish whiskies? You’ll be pleasantly impressed!

Very well done. I’m always looking for solid budget drams. I appreciate your counsel and observations. I’ve got to venture into Irish now. This will be somewhat new for me having had only Scotches for decades. God bless you.

I'm pretty new to Irish, too. They're great stuff! I recommend the Redbreast line. 😊

First whisky i actually picked up. I really have to go back to it and also back to some more irish blends! Jameson Crested and Black barrel are good ones by the way.

I just had some Bushmills black tonight. My friend and I were talking about what a good tasting whiskey it is
@KPX-nl4nt3 жыл бұрын
I’m sure that you’re probably already aware that Bushmills also features a single malt core range of 10, 16 and 21yo which are all sherried (especially the 16). I recently picked up a bottle of the 10 as it was a great value at $45usd. Overall it was a decent single malt for its price point. It has a wonderful nose but the palate suffers from some bright youthfulness. Additionally, the sherry doesn’t really shine through compared to the Black Bush. The 16 and 21 are a bit harder to find and are even harder on the wallet at ~$100 & $200+ respectively. I would be interested to hear what you think of their single malts.
@Gwhisky3 жыл бұрын
I've heard really good things about the 16. My issue is that it's expensive and has a 40% abv, which kind of puts me off it. I suppose I should get around to trying it one of these days.

I'm pretty sure the grain whiskey in Bushmills blends comes from the Middleton Distillery down near Cork!
One of my favourite whiskey from Ireland good price and balance for him, do you have any reviews for the 10 version or older, thanks

I haven't seen that line available in Taiwan. I'll keep it in mind if they ever show up in the shops here. 😊

The only way I can drink it is with a few drops of Ardbeg added to it that turns it into a smoky cough drop instead of a plain lemon cough drop. I have tried a few Irish whiskeys and most taste similar to a lemon cough drop. I'll stick to Scotch or Bourbon!

i drink single malt mostly, but recently have tried Dewar's 27 Double Double, it's very beautiful with a lot of potpourri note, taste not that "blend" but surprisingly elegant. bit pricey but definitely cheaper than almost 25yo single malt.
