Bushnell Equinox Z2 - Night Test In The Swamp

This is the first real test of the Bushnell Equinox Z2 out in the swamp looking for critters. It works very well. I am actually really happy with the quality of video that we are getting from this camera for such a low price. Join me in the swamp and we'll talk about it as I show you the footage. My only nit is that you really should have an external battery to make this record longer. I use my DJI drone batteries and they work awesome for powering this night scope. Thanks for watching.

Just ordered the Z2. It's 4x AA batteries, but I didn't know you could connect another external battery source to the unit and run it from that 🙋🇬🇧

So ignore the charging message and just turn it on? Wow. Great to know. I put mine on a Zyuitech AK 4000 gimbal. It works, just need a long road since the lens is more like a 100mm.

Great video. Thank you! This is very helpful. I really apriciate you do not pan around all the time without proper focussing, or zoom in too much only to get grainy and blurry images. I am impressed by the quality of the images and I think I'll buy a Buschnell myself. They seem unbeatable in their price range. You mentioned that you use a Buschnell Equinox Z2, but what magnifiction? There are 6x50, 4,5x40 and 3x30 models. Thanks again!

I also got the “creative Xp digital NV” binocs ( they are cheap but made well ..the base model is $180 i think ) it works great 👍 i can see clearly 200 yards and it records. 2 trips to the bush on same batteries .

even today the video quality on the Z2 is amazing, have had ours for some years now but seldom used it. when we see perfect with the eye in ours the video comes out blurry, have set it so the video is perfect but then the picture is blue when we look in the optic. how have you set it up? we have had NV since 2012 so nothing new but we can't figure the z2 out, or is our unit just a bad one, hmm. awesome video btw, what we want ours for to as a side comparison to the pulsar xp thermal line we run in general.

I cant see any cute animals or water fowl in Our Fl. swamps the gators eat em . Lots of gator eyes though. I just got the ATN FLIR Second trip to the bush ( nothing hides from this flir ) now the bigfoots wont come around We always have interactions on most trips. One more trip and no interaction im going to conclude they know all about the technology.

Are these videos of what your EYE is seeing, or is this video playback at higher rez than what you saw through the optic? Seems most NV has a strange disconnect about clarity between what the eye will see versus the recorded video.

Mine won't even record on brand new batteries they dropped the ball on these equinox night vision...I did the update and even with brand new batteries it lasts only a few minutes. I'm using a power bank now that holds for quite some time
