Got 2 of 2.5-10X FFP so far its been a good scope, at dusk ut has been as bright as my Leoupold Varx-IIIs, and my Zeiss Conquest. My only issue is on of o rings on the caps broke.

Let's see if we can make that happen. 🤔

What i like about your gear reviews is you don't ignore the price tag, unlike so many other channels. I'm sure Nightforce and Swarovski scopes are better but this thing is a tiny fraction of the price.

Love that reticle
@randyemenhiser25732 жыл бұрын
I had a Nitro. Nice scope, but I hated the reticle (too busy for my liking - I like simple and clean), so I traded to SWFA for a 12x.
@SocialRegressive2 жыл бұрын
Which reticle did you have? FFP, or SFP? ANd yeah, I love the SWFA reticles.

Second focal plane whomp… whomp. They offer great value but I don’t buy second focal plane anymore unless it’s a 1-4 or 1-6.
@SocialRegressive2 жыл бұрын
You should check out the 4-16x44mm and 5-20x44mm. I think those both still have FFP options. It's a shame they discontinued the 2.5-10x44 FFP. That one was a killer setup.

@@SocialRegressive Yup I agree hunting(deer,hog) wise I like 2-10 or 3-12. I’ve done the arken for 4-16 or Athlon for the 6-24 and they have been pretty good. I really do like bushnell for lpvo though. I put a 1-6 on my ak and it works great.
@MKEOD7 ай бұрын
Since you made this video, it appears that Bushnell has discontinued this scope. The only Nitro model listed on their website is the 3-12x44 second focal plane model.

Aw, sad. Check Optics Planet. They had a 4-16 ffp model recently.

What do you recommend for something like 3-18 or other budget 3x with a 12x or higher?

I agree with this, as I’m starting to look around for a good SPR type build but I don’t have that much money unfortunately.

Can you explain to me just how a scope, any brand, can determine accuracy rather than the weapon itself along with the proper ammo ?
@SocialRegressive7 ай бұрын
The rifle and ammo determine the precision of the weapon. YOU make the weapon accurate, and the scope is a critical tool for that job. A scope that can't reliably hold zero, track its adjustments, or nail down parallax makes the shooter inaccurate.

Great review. Bushnell needs you as their social media markerter. Seriously I have always been interested in this option just from how the elite series blew my mind. But the info on Bushnell is hard to find. Awesome review.

Their scopes in recent years have been world-beaters, and not enough people know it. When I let people try my guns, they're always stunned by the scopes.
@CaveWyatt2 жыл бұрын
The one main reason Bushnell completely fell off my shopping list is the “soda straw effect” that has been so prevalent in every one I’ve owned. It appears this trend continues with this model. I know it’s difficult to get a good shot from this angle but looking through the scope there seemed to be a whole lot of black and then a small sight picture inside. Looking through with the eye may be different but I don’t think I’ll go out of my way to find one of these when there are options. And yes, I realize this is just me.
@SocialRegressive2 жыл бұрын
The video wasn't entirely representative of the image; something to do with my lens magnification. But yes, this model does exhibit some tunneling, and thanks for pointing it out. That's one of the benefits of the now-discontinued Forge. No tunneling at all.

Dude you are going to get me in so much trouble with the wife!!! I have a few expensive scopes but mainly good for money Vortexs. But i have a couple cheaper Bushnells that perform fantastically, now i have to add one of these. I guess i can use the old Iine “i won it on youtube channel giveaway”

The reticle shown at time stamp 4:47 is not the one for the Bushnell Nitro 3-12x44mm scope according to Bushnell's site. It looks like the Deploy MIL reticle on the MATCH PRO 6-24X50 RIFLESCOPE.
@SocialRegressive Жыл бұрын
Bushnell used to install this reticle in the FFP Forge and Nitro, too. I was lucky enough to get models of each. And yeah, it rocks in the Match Pro.

Thats is a nice scope. But the price point that it is in you can find alot of other brands that offer a little more than the NITRO OFFERS. . HECK an Arken in the same price range will offer that. Also Vector Continental is not to far off that price range and offers German Schott glass and is very clear. Or even a Hawke Sidewinder can offer like features.
@SocialRegressive2 жыл бұрын
It's true that scopes like the Arken SH4 offer more features and range than the Nitro for the dollar, but to me it doesn't matter. The Arken's image doesn't even come close to the quality of the Nitro, and that's more important to me. My primary obstacle in the real world is the wind, and I want to be able to see all those cues.
