There are some nice color combinations on this carousel 🙂 I like the horses with blue saddles 😉

Is this a Wurlitzer 165 playing? It sure sounds like one!

I need to learn more about Wurlitzers! This is the actual audio from the carousel that day.

Sam Morex It's a Wurlitzer 153. Wurlitzer 165's don't have octave violin pipes nor do they have high pitched trumpets.

@@CBF1 To me it kind of has the voicework characteristics of a Gebruder Bruder "Elite Orchestra Apollo" (which the 165 was based off of).

@@sammorex2543 That organ has no octave violins either. 153's don't sound like an Elite Apollo to me at all...

I wonder what songs were playing and whatever rolls they are from? Some of them take great advantage of the Wurlitzer 150 roll scale. Especially the last song in this video.

I do not know, I am only just learning about carousel organs!

@@clusterfofdoom1108 Eh, that's no problem. There's a lot of long-time Band Organ Fans that can almost immediately identify any tune on a Wurlitzer band organ.

What are those yellow tags on the horses' legs
@clusterfofdoom11083 жыл бұрын
They are to keep people from standing on the legs of the horses.
