I just started watching your torch vod and noticed you have issues with frame drops and when you changed quality settings and turned off motion blur, you have ray tracing on and set at high. You should try turning Ray tracing off. Starchris0 had the same issue when 1.0.9 came out during bingo league.

glint stone pebble is among the best sorceries in the game. Magic glint blade is good, but not better than pebble as you implied

@@kanyeeast3071 Pebble has excellent FP efficiency so you get more damage per FP bar spent, but Glintblade is likely better for speed. Each cast deals more damage and also has more poise damage, so you will burn through your FP faster but get good damage quckly and a few stance breaks you can use to crit with your weapon. I'm not sure it's going to end up any better in practice since you will be split between your two weapons for upgrades and might need to choose between levelling stats for your staff or your sword, but Glintblade does seem to have merit.

The Confessor has some serious drip. Great starting fashion. Although my favorite is the Wretch mostly because of the balanced base stats while being RL1. It's just nice to go from when creating a build from scratch. It's also fun just to scavenge for new gear when you're running around naked, I guess. However, I would probably go with Vagabond if I were to do a run like this. That class has great stats and starting gear overall, I think.

The thing about the Prisoner is that not using Impaling Thrust and going with a Warrior Jar Shard build is not giving it a fair chance. Impaling Thrust not only has good range and is quick, but it the absolutely best ash of war at dealing stance damage in the entire game. It fixes all the issues that the estoc had.

He only gets those spells if you tell him about the encounters in the Roundtable Hold afterwards. You can get their Great Rune's and remembrance's, just don't tell him you did.

@@sako2239 Gotcha, I never really had a problem with him either way but I like mixing it up with him. I'm really getting proficient with the curved swords backflip mechanic and I use it on Gideon all the time now. PVP players despise it mostly as well lol.

Seeing as prisoner was only like 6 minutes behind vagabond which was originally the fastest time before samurai, it was actually pretty impressive especially considering he couldn’t get good talismans for it, very far from average especially considering the longer times in the run

I never looked at the stats armor gives unless i'm struggling on a specific boss and really trying to optimise my build to counter it, which for elden ring i cant remember ever doing that other than rot resist when crossing the lake of rot. Weapons are different though

magic glintblade can actually be preatty cracked for prisoner, its damage is comparable to GGS when charged, its nice to use it in combo with the épée because you can both keep distance from enemy's and deal damage up close. plus because of the delay you can cast about 4 on gideon before comboing his with the épée. overall underated af spell

To this day my favorite weapons in the souls series and elden ring are the rapier, estoc, club, and mace. Don't know why but these weapons always felt more satisfying to use then any other weapon.

clubs and big clubs are lowkey underrated in every souls game. Take the big club in ds3 and bonking every boss is hilarious and it's surprisingly strong and easy to kill bosses with. Very fast for such a large weapon.

Tbh for astrologer, it's rock sling and comet azur that trivialize the game. And since you can get the first spell plus a staff to go with it very early on in the game. That's what makes it easy

Night Comet is pretty great also, basically Comet, easier to get and also requires less Int to start using it. That and they don't dodge it most of the time. Very rarely the AI breaks and they do it anyway, but eh.

I know that I'm looking through my experience and hindsight, so it's totally unfair to say "well streamer, you should have xyz" but if I had to say 2 things that might help in future runs 1- Square off R1 is super helpful in some situations. Only a smidge lower MV and poise damage for a much faster animation. I believe a 2h charged r2 does about 37 poise damage and square off r1 does 35 2- Crouching attacks on some weapons are just the sauce into Gideon. You kind of need to be in his face, but most of them come out incredibly fast.

I think the spells you get throughout the game should be treated as upgrades for the weapons, because, while most weapons are equally viable and just have different strengths and weaknesses, there are spells that are outright stronger versions of earlier spells

Wouldn't change a thing. Comet, for example, is found in the middle of Raya lucaria. A notoriously magic resistant place. Comet Azur is found on the way to Volcano Manor, so an awful detour. Terra Magica is found at the end of a dungeon in the middle of Liurnia. Ranni's moon is found after completing her whole quest. The other strong spells are dropped from side bosses. There's nothing about sorcery builds that is fast.

I think that is unfair to put Vagabond on 3 place , you make exception to confessor and say you have some problems on run , but you have the same problem on vagabond, you didn't optimize the path ,because this class go first , and you waste much time because of back tracking to sleep pots . Gideon is a prime example of the main problem I have with this game. In the previous games, any weapon would do just fine, everything was viable. But now, the whole "haha you fool! Don't you know you have to use a hammer to defeat me or I'll 1 shot you???" Like I don't think it's good boss design to either bully a boss so that they can't retaliate, or for them to nuke you. It misses out on the epic back and forth that DS always gave you. The game doesn't make 1 weapon runs feel fun, it kinda forces you to play normally... Which just means that every death makes you think "well that bullshi wouldn't have happened if I was using Moonveil"... idk, the old games had a system where since everything was OP, nothing was... but now most weapons are just meh and most bosses are boring damage sponges or gimmicks.
