I thought it was unfair and I felt kind of betrayed as a viewer. But then I thought about what she had experienced and the men in her life, and the ending totally made sense.

I loved the ending and thought it was a perfect fit. We're kept at an emotional arm's-length the entire film, but there are a few moments here and there that offer a glimpse into how she's really feeling. She tries everything she can to distract herself from her emotional state, but eventually she's just too weighed down by it all. I saw the film for the first time last night and cannot stop thinking about it. I have a feeling this one will stick with me for a while.

Me too, I‘ve been searching for the song.. It’s hard to find it as the lyrics don’t help. I thought of an early Manfred Mann, but then again the sound doesn’t really fit. The horn sections hook line is just great.

i may have a clue. The singer looks like Peppino di Capri, famous italian singer that made other songs included in the soundtrack, he did a lot of twist in the 60's, had the same glasses !

Some of his early 60's are in english and musically close but this one is nowhere to be found, this is so frustrating. I come to think this live performance remains only for the movie as an appearancec of Peppino and would not have been recorded. Last chance is to find somebody who was actually dancing on the set !
