I came here from TikTok and I am staying for sure! I am so glad to see a no-nonsense style and style tips! Thank you for not telling that you MUST wear heels to look taller. :) In my office full on suit is just too much. I can get away with jeans (dark wash, black) easily. Since I am an assistant and I do not need to see clients, I can wear basically anything I want (sandals, sneakers, florals, wool sweaters, flip-flops, tank tops and summer dresses are all acceptable).I haven't drastically changed my wardrobe since university! BUT I also want to be dressed professionally, as someone who takes her job seriously and who could be promoted one day (dressed for success :) ). It would be weird to sit in a suit and pumps when a colleague is sitting next to me in a hoodie and sandals. I would need help with finding the great balance between dressing way too professionally and looking totally out of place and way too casually.

Hi Ciara! Both Banana Republic and Ann Taylor are my go-to for Petite Work Cloths. Their petite sizing is on point and is really flattering. Sometimes, Nordstrom will offer items in petite sizes so I check them out too.

I have never heard smart causal used in any of the employee dress codes I’ve come across. That’s a new one. I wear business casual in the office and for court, but I can wear sneakers due to field visits. Would smart casual be clean casual?business casual clothing but with casual shoes?

I’m petite with short legs and long torso and 100% cannot wear Capri/cropped pants. I do think that petites with a normal leg/torso ratio or long legs/short torso look good in Capri and cropped pants.
