'Business Email Compromise' scam hits South Africa

The South African Banking Risk Information Centre, SABRIC has identified a scam known as ‘Business Email Compromise’ (BEC) where criminals literally ‘steal money by asking for it’. The banking security group says the scam specifically targets employees in organizations who are authorized to transfer funds or make payments.
