I'm surprised Germany is more masculine, I would've thought given the cultural inclination towards cooperation they would be feminine. Given their tendency to be task oriented and the importance of status symbols though, it makes sense they're masculine. I appreciate the preference for straightforward dialogue and the willingness to fully discuss contracts for clarity.

This video made realize how much of an affect that the German culture has an affect to the rest of the world such as them being the number one location international trade fairs. I was intrigued on understanding more of their directness in communication, without window addressing. Then it goes on to speak about their punctuality being taken seriously, which is a very good characteristic in maintaining success.

I find Germany's business culture of straight-forwardness, equality, and ambition to be very admirable and in line with my own values. However, I believe that I would find Germany's heavy focus on rules and guidelines to be restrictive in a business setting. If I were to work in a German business, I would have to improve my rule-following skills.

This video stood out to me because I learned a lot about Germany. I didn’t know that Germany was one of the largest exporters in the world, and the number one location for international trade fairs. For business etiquette, Germany is pretty similar to America, besides having people enter in order of importance.

I thought this video was great. Germany has a strong Long-Term Orientation, and I believe we can learn from that. Americans score quite poorly on this, showing a greater preference for instant gratification. We also struggle with endurance when something is difficult or takes a long time. I adore that it mentions how patience, saving, investing, and thrift are valued in Germany.

This video does a great job showing the variance in structure and practice to America. It also highlights its difference in finances to other somewhat similar countries. The emphasis on strict practices is interesting and it’s high value on manufacturing in Europe is interesting.

I think it is pretty cool that Germany is a highly developed social market and is ranked number 1 in Europe. Their top 5 exports are vehicles, machinery, chemical goods, electronic products, and electrical equipment, so that also explains how they are the world's number 1 location for international trade fairs because some of the US imports come from them. I have always thought that since we traded with China so much that they were number 1, I would not have thought about Germany at all.

Germany reminds me of the automotive industry. There are so many German cars that people value above all other makes. German cars are typically luxurious and smooth handling. Popular German brands include Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche.

Going into watching this video I knew nothing about German culture. Finding out that they are one of the largest exporters in the world was interesting. Also hearing that they are the number one location for international trade fairs was something I was not expecting either. After seeing the Hofstede scores, we are pretty similar when it comes to each thing that was ranked. I also found that interesting that we are similar in a few things.

I appreciate that Germans are resistant to being convinced, so it's critical to be prepared for an obstacle. This was a really educational film, and Germany was much more business-friendly than I had anticipated. You will get more insight into how to conduct business in this country, in my opinion, if you can comprehend how the culture and business etiquette are in this country.

I liked learning interesting facts about Germany. For example, the knocking on the table with one’s knuckles was peculiar. Apparently, that means the conclusion of the meeting. I like that Germans are not easily persuaded, so it is important to be ready for a challenge. I also liked that they are a pragmatic country and show an ability to adapt traditions that are easily changed.

I think we can learn from Germany in their high Long-Term Orientation. Americans have a very low score in this, and we care more about quick gratification. We also have a hard time with endurance if something is taking very long or it is hard. I love that it says that in Germany they care about saving, investing, thriftiness, and perseverance. I feel like we could really use that more in the U.S.

I found the video to be excellent. Germany exhibits a robust Long-Term Orientation, which I think holds valuable lessons for us. In contrast, Americans tend to score lower in this aspect, indicating a greater inclination towards immediate rewards.

Germany has always interested me because my father grew up in a small town close to Germany. This video provided me with some great information. International trade fairs, I think, are really important and I hope that I can be a part of one in the future.

The most interesting fact about German Business Etiquette is that you are supposed to enter into the conference room in order of importance. This makes me wonder if everyone waits outside of the room in a line or if they figure who will go after who ahead of time.

The video on Germany's business landscape offered insights into its robust economy and influential companies like Daimler and Volkswagen. Analyzing through Hofstede's cultural framework, I learned about Germany's low power distance, individualistic and masculine traits, coupled with high uncertainty avoidance. The emphasis on long-term orientation and a restrained indulgence dimension was intriguing. The organizational culture's focus on tasks, strict adherence to rules, and clear separation of private and public spheres highlighted the meticulous German approach. Additionally, the business etiquette nuances, such as punctuality and direct communication, added practical perspectives. Overall, it provided a comprehensive understanding of Germany's business dynamics.

The German business environment is much different than I thought. I didn't think that they would have a higher GDP Per Capita than Japan, or that their economy was big in electronic products and equipment. Regarding the way Germans act, I felt that their was a similarity with them and Americans, as both countries seem to not go around the question, and just get to the point, and that when doing business, they just want to make the deal and do nothing else until its done.

The observation of Germany having a low indulgence score, along with high scores in uncertainty avoidance and long-term orientation, aligns with expectations, especially considering the country's historical approach to recessions. However, the somewhat surprising element is the high masculinity score. Given Germany's emphasis on long-term orientation and its political and diplomatic landscape, one might expect a greater focus on cooperation and social welfare, contrary to the traditionally more individualistic stance associated with high masculinity scores, such as that of the United States.

I find the hofstede scores to be interesting, especially the power distance scores for Germany, and how they are lower on the score, but close to the United States Score. Germany focuses on direct and participate style, and control is not as likely compared to other countries.

It was not surprising to me to see Germany have a low indulgence score, as well as high scores in uncertainty avoidance and long-term orientation. All one has to do is look at how recessions usually play out in Germany to see those in action. It is a bit surprising, however, to see their masculinity score is so high- looking at their long-term orientation and general political and diplomatic situation, one would think they would be more concerned with things like cooperation and social welfare than the United States.

Fourth largest GDP? I find it easy to forget Germany's position as an economic power simply because flies under th radar. It doesn't have the outsized cultural impact of Hollywood, the political controversy surrounding China, and it just doesn't hog the news cycle so much.
