I really admire Timi Dakolo for standing up for his wife. Most victims won’t talk about their ordeal until they have a strong sense of safety like a husband that will literally lay down his life for his wife. I believe Busola Dakolo and I pray for her as she continues on her healing journey. Trauma can be debilitating but God has been faithful.

St Olives I am a very open minded person. I don’t look down on rape victims. But as a Doctor and someone who reasons, I wonder why she still went to his house voluntarily the same week after he raped her. And then got raped again. Isn’t that strange? I worked part time at an eating disorder hospital in the UK and the sheer amount of insight into a person's or young person/s mental health can't be over-emphasized and I learnt a lot within a very short period because of my interest in mental health. The people who choose not to understand the situation are just ignorant, and I am not saying this to bring anyone down but stating a fact. Self education is very valuable because if you are unsure, you can find out or simply research instead of giving an opinion that is flawed. At this point, I openly denounce every so-called "man of God" who uses the pulpit to exploit, mislead, and abuse God's people, bringing shame to the body. According to the words of Jesus Himself, "You are of your father the devil, and the works of your father you will do!" True, nobody is perfect, and we're all flawed, but grace is by no means a license to persist in iniquity. This is not Jesus; this is indulgence and evil concupiscence and must be repented of. "Bring forth therefore fruits meant for repentance... Every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire!" (Matthew 3:8-10) Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." (James 4:8-10) For everyone who calls themselves a Christian, Christianity is not a religion, and it is not about going to Church, jumping, or shouting hallelujah. It's about having a relationship with God by grace through faith. No pastor can teach you this; you must learn it by yourself at the feet of Christ by studying the Word. That way you cannot be misled. For parents - fathers especially - you are the first protection and priest for your children. This is not the duty of any Church, but your salient responsibility as a parent. Teach your children BEFORE they even turn teenage. That way, if they walk into any gathering, they cannot be brainwashed or misled by every wind of doctrine. We are not to forsake the fellowship, but we are meant to guard our hearts with all diligence, and also to bring under subjection every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God... to the obedience of Christ! I'm so disgusted. DEAR LORD, HAVE MERCY!

I remember when my mother would always cautioned us to lock the door and never open the door, not even to my relatives until she comes back. This had protected us from some rapists that always visit our house when my parents are away, literally. Sometimes, they will lie that my mother sent them to get something for her or that they came to drop something for her. Anytime she comes back, we tell her what this person and she would praise us for being smart and obeying her. And those people, eventually raped some little girls in my vicinity. If not for my mother, my sisters and I would have been in such trauma and be tagged as raped. That is why till today, I will forever be grateful to my mother. Adeola, thank you for this. I'm a professional therapist, and I've had to weep because of the aftermath of this particular case. It has opened up a lot of unhealed wounds, and some of these people are innocent in all forms. But are people taken advantage of by people of authority, and power. Thanks for your wisdom, and the balance you brought in. If anyone would like some help, I'd be glad to offer my services.

Hummm thank you dear sister, don t mind the people asking such questions if they have been there they will know how destroying it is to be there rape, I was crying when I saw bisola's video because her story make me realise that what am going through is as a result of me being abused I thought I was heal until I listened to her story and I still find out that the pain still in my life, I even told my family when issues started they said I was the one who seduced the man, can you imagine at age 14 seducing a man since they couldn't listen to me then the man continued and I have no one report the issues to again, God rescued me and I left the house, it was after 6 year that my family later find out that I was saying the truth concerning the man but it was too later because my relationship with my family had been broken and because of that till today I don't see them as people love me even thought am trying to love them, another thing is that parent should be careful don t let your child see you as their enemy dont be far from them, remember you are in that marriage because of them, make them your best friend, teach them the word of God if all parents can do that the issue of rape will reduce, when a person is rape more than one is call abuse which is the deadly part, see if you have a friend tgat you love so much but yet he or she doesn't love or trust you check the person this are some of the signs that the person has gone through such thing, and one thing that people don t know is that either you were raped or not we all suffer the pain because if you were not rape but you will want to make friends and want to love people and if your friend was raped or abused before it will be difficult for you to enjoy that relationship because some time they will remember they issues and pass the anger on you so are we not all eating the pain? for those that has not being rape I pray it wouldn't happen to you or any of your family and for us that need healing we are heal in Jesus name Amen

Publicly declaring it doesn't heal anyone either. Ask God to help you forgive the offender, share it with trusted members of your family who need to know and move on with your life. You are more than this.
