Its very easy on the buses in Crete and its very cheap, I'd advise to leave an hour earlier than you should as well 🤣 but....... I hate that they have no toilets on the 'coach' from hiraklion to lathisi! But the driver was so sooooooooo super nice he stopped for me twice 🙈. The journey was super long! I even actually prefer to get the bus instead of a taxi to Rethimno from chania airport. That journey is not so long 😂

As a Cretan i have to say that winter in Crete is pretty quiet, in Heraklion (where im from) you will always find people and generally its always alive, when not raining which is kinda rare
