@@mattwhitney10 Pros sit out end of season games to avoid getting hurt too. So I don't have big issue for him if he decided not to play. What I do have issue with is suiting up and playing to get a record then quitting in the middle of a game He didn't mind taking the risk for personal glory, But as soon as he got what he wanted he bounced. No regard for teammates at all

I agree with Taylor. When a player opts on in college it makes you wonder how they handle this in the pros…. Are they sitting out of quitting when things don’t go their way.

What’s amazing about their point of views is how football really came easy to Delaney and Taylor. Football was loyal to them because they were good. Will on the other hand had to fight tooth and nail and had the romanticism taken out of it. He understood it was a business early.

If he is getting NIL he should be fined for not playing. Coaches probably lost millions in bowl bonuses as well. Players want it to be a business treat it like that.

As a Cane, I didn’t mind at all and I liked the way he did it. Get the record and move on. Malik Nabers did it last year with LSU . NFL players do it last game of the season to keep a streak of whatever going then sit down.

Maybe his coach suggested he play long enough to get it, and once you do…take a seat. How can we knock Cam? Because he quit on his team. Might have been able to justify that before BUT HE GOT PAID TO PLAY COLLEGE GAMES. If you get paid like a pro them fulfill your agreement like a pro. What's next? Prof players not playing the last game if their contract before going free agent? Try that and see hownit goes.

Ward situation is tough... I absolutely see not wanting to risk getting hurt and sitting out a non playoff bowl game. I think as a QB1 though if you're gonna play, you gotta play. Makes him look way more selfish getting the record and bouncing then if he didn't play at all. if I were an NFL O-linemen I absolutely am not putting my body on the line for this guy. Uses you to get what he wants, then leaves you high and dry.

If I’m in the war room on draft day, I gotta ask “if he quits when he’s afraid of getting hurt in college, what good will he be in the pros when guys are bigger/stronger/faster?” He doesn’t deserve a spot in the pros of he can’t finish at the amateur level.

@Qodyooo yeah it's tough , Especially at a leadership position like QB. I can see the issue of his college career is over, this isn't a playoff game, it's a glorified exhibition game so I don't think sitting out is that big a deal (stars sit out end of season games in the pros too to not get hurt for the playoffs) But playing to get a record for yourself then quitting in the middle of a game. That looks very selfish.
