I'd never considered that his vocal on this was kinda more chilled than his previous stuff. And this is where his career proper took off from being mainly for the Hip Hop heads to everybody in the clubs.

The sample itself, Sweet Green Fields by Seals and Croft, was on a subdued level. Someone introduced Buddah to that song, and Buddah and that person made the beat. Buddah introduced it to Busta, and that was history. That sample was perfect for him to develop a more subdued rhyming style.

@seraphimprince I was just gonna say but you did the diligence and got it covered. It always bothers me when proper respect and mention isn't made to creators. Especially when that something is extremely profitable and successful to the borrowing parties. Obviously Buddah & Busta added in their own totally unique twist and talents to the track which is a greater reason for the success but the foundation of the track is that beat and should always be mentioned in circumstances such as these in my opinion.

That song alone started a new hip hop spirit. The Missy, Busta hits had Barz and fire videos.

He is an rap icon! I have never really been a rap fan, but Busta,Salt -n-Pepa, Missy, LLcool J, Biggy, Lil Kim and Tupac music made you want to pump up the radio and blast it. STILL NOW. His songs are iconic!

He never mentioned Jessie West, which is the rapper he took that style from. Jessie West was on Bad Boy before Biggie. Puff sent Busta to Jessie West because Busta Had writers block from trying to do what Puff and Q Tip was telling him to do. He came away sounding like Jessie West and it worked for him. That record is still dope to this day.

Everyone says who the favorite rapper is but I gotta say, Busta, a lot of rappers are great but Busta is in a league of his own. My favorite songs are Truck Volume, Put your hands, and Make it hurt. It just shows Busta can flow on any beat. I was 10 and always listening to Busta. Last but not least gimme some more
