I would recommend getting out of the store immediately in any scenario where you are seen on a department store freight elevator. The first employee who saw you probably notified LP or their manager which is why they found you a few minutes later.

I don’t like to to freight elevators at department stores, but I do sometimes sneak on the main mall freights in service corridors.
