Will Buster succeed or fail? Well, we don’t know. But, I rather have Buster at the helm than anyone else. I think he will take this team in the right direction.

I think a major issue of Farhan's tenure was too much impersonal baseball IQ focus (i.e. the frequency of moves between MLB and AAA, working on the margins, statements with veiled transparency with major free agent signings/pursuits) with not enough player EQ and the history of the Giants DNA was put into consideration as a public representation of the franchise. For every suave move he made, there were like 3-5 that were complete head-scratchers or completely backfired to keep the Giants directionless and stuck in mediocre limbo between competitive and rebuilding. Posey embodies the Giants going through all of the ranks as a draftee and becoming a legend through ups and downs bringing the Giants from irrelevant in post-Bonds years to dynasty. Despite not having years of baseball executive experience, he has the capability to lead the next chapter of the franchise with his baseball knowledge and highly regarded reputation around the league and surround himself with smart, capable staff with various evaluation opinions to build the team back up.

Buster’s first mission should be signing the Monster of the Reiwa Era, Rōki Sasaki. Please make this happen!

Ben I really think you take some interesting twists at things. First of all we see people with experience failing in that position left and right, Zaidi just failed. We can't call anything he's done a success. Fielding a .500 team wasn't the reason he was hired. I think getting 6 years was a long time. I completely disagree that Buster Posey doesn't have experience, this isn't a guy who walked out of college with an analytics degree and into the job. He's played baseball since he 4 or 5 years old. Catching is the position where many successful team Managers played. He knows the game. He's making it clear he needs help in areas and they are working on that. He said on KNBR today that he's going to be meeting with Sabean and others. Don't be surprised if we don't see Sabean back in some sort of capacity. They have Assistent GM Jeremy Shelley who's been with the organization for 30 years and could be step up to the GM job per Baggerly. There's Kim Ng out there so there are options. What I take from all of this is that they don't want an analytical POBO like they just replaced. They talked about getting back to having better connections with past players. We have read that very few showed up for the Willie Mac Award which didn't' used to happen. Whether intentional and just how things worked out Zaidi and Kapler just didn't have that same connection. Your show is good, but you seem to always have a negative twist to it. I keep wanting to watch your show because you do have good stuff, but I'm starting to feel like I'm trolling you.

So happy that Farhan is gone. Excited for Buster and my hope is that he helps bring better direction to the farm system to produces players like himself, Cain, Mad Bum, Timmy and others. Stop this turnstile in the LF and either sign/develop a long term solution. They mentioned at the press conference today about being able to win games in different ways and I truly do hope we get to that. The lack of team speed has been an issue since even when Buster was still playing. Understanding that you can’t have a lineup of mashers but faster players would help stretch singles to doubles and take extra bases to eliminate the station to station business.

Yup. Great player. Not necessary for him to be kept out of the HOF. Keeping him out of baseball was punishment enough. Nobody worked harder to get the most out of himself or played harder than Pete. He earned the HOF as a player. The Hall has really become a joke with the presumptuous and hypocritical “purity” standards that have been unfairly applied over the years. Ty Cobb is in. Nolan Ryan and Kirby Puckett were well known by players to be steroid users in the late 80’s/early 90’s. And there are many other examples like this. Pete should have been honored by the HOF before he died. He earned it. Hopefully, they don’t make the same mistake with Barry, another guy that HAS to be in the Hall and should be inducted before it’s too late.

Farhan is Far Out! So begins the Posey era. We won’t know so we’ll just have to wait and see. Can he make an impact right away or will it be a couple of seasons, at least the change has been made. That part feels good. Go Giants

I don't know if you're being serious. He's gonna have to tear the cover off the ball in his second AAA season. He finally had a full season, he definitely has tools, but he is far from being a polished player.

Not a fan of Farhan and happy he's gone but why is it at every other organization it's the GM who seems to be making all the roster moves (and picking draft picks) but for the Giants it's the president of baseball operations? you never even heard to the Giants GM

Ben Kaspick: Bruce Bochy is yesterday’s news. Bruce Bochy: Hold my beer. Ben Kaspick: Zaidi and Kapler are the future of how baseball will be played, managed, and operated. Zaidi and Kapler: Hold your nose. Ben Kaspick: Buster Posey has no experience and no idea what it takes to do this job. Buster Posey: Who is Ben Kaspick???? Anyone else noticing a pattern here? Has this guy ever gotten it right? Serious question.

The Farhan era in San Francisco made the game impersonal. All of those fringe moves took away the human aspect, and took away the culture of the clubhouse. Even if the Giants go down in flames, if Posey can return the culture back to the Giants, I'll consider it a win.

I wanted Zaidi out, I didn't care who they brought in to replace him, honestly I still don't. Is Buster the right choice given his lack of experience in this sort of position, maybe not, I don't know, it doesn't matter. ANYONE would have been a better choice than another year of Farhan Zaidi. They dropped down to 4th in the N.L. West... they are below .500 AGAIN, it can't get much worse... I DONT CARE IF THEY ARE 60/100, TO ME THAT IS THE SAME AS 78-84, out of the playoffs is out of the playoffs. I would rather see Buster try and fail than see Zaidi fail again. Listen, I don't hate Zaidi, I don't know Zaidi, maybe he's a nice guy, maybe he's a genius, IT DOESNT MATTER, HE WAS NOT THE RIGHT GUY FOR THE SF GIANTS. Maybe Posey won't be any better, bottom line is he can't be any worse... The Giants were bad under Zaidi and showed no signs of improving...

There should only be one vision that Posey should have and that's winning. Or die trying 😂 . Okay, okay maybe not dying. That would be a little harsh now wouldn't be.

But if we take into account the last 15 useless game, ConfortO-for-Four was a great signing and FartHand was the genius he kept telling us he was. We all heard you trying to say that they should keep FarFlop and "why the last series matters" lolllllll
