Working in the muck to break a beaver dam and try to dry out the bottom to build a levee!

This is incredibly satisfying to watch. My cousin has a creek on his property and around Thanksgiving we’ll partially block it off so a shallow pond will form that’ll usually freeze by Christmas, and all the kids can go skating on it all winter. Come the spring thaw, it’s awesome breaking the dam and watching the water drain out.

Post 10 does unlawful dumping when he moves debris onto City or County property. It's also trespass because that property isn't his. When he goes to ponds, that's NOT his property. If he gets injured, the property owner is responsible for injuries. He has been notified on t.v. not to do this. The City can contact him. He STILL does it but not on KZbin like before. He OBVIOUSLY isn't working. He's out there at night. Snakes are around. He recently moved straw onto the grass from the gutter when he cleared a gutter. That's unlawful dumping. Gutters are City or County property.

The machine is nice for sure. It is just a small excavator. What the machine does is determine by who is operating it. Clearly this little excavator was being operated by a very skilled operator. No jerky all smooth and fluid movements. As for the Beavers if you don’t live in the area and know about beavers and what is required to remove a beaver damn just be quite. Just because a beaver can dam up a water way does not mean he gets too. In the USA and Canada we have done very well in letting beavers reconstruct waterways but it still require control. Nice video thanks.

I can't beleive the people wondering why this is happening. And whining about the stupid beavers. He's not killing them (at least not in this video). If you own wetlands you would understand. The beavers slip in, back everything up and then control of your property is lost. He says right up there that he is going to build a levee. Well, why a levee? So he can control his own property water level based on time of year. If this was mine I would be telling you that I am building a levee system so could drain and plant food plots in the spring, then block it and fill it up for duck season which is what we do. The beavers will only move to another low point and start again, they are not hurt (at least not in this video).
@toddb87798 жыл бұрын
Yes sir. This looks similar to ours. We drain and plant in spring, then patch up the levee around Sept 15th. You can flood a food plot. You can't add feed to water later.

I always thought beavers created land in high Mountainous areas by daming up streams to create ponds that lead to lakes, and meadows Over time. All the wildlife in the forest benefit from the beavers Engineering skills.Moose, Deer, Bear's Wolves,Turtles.Ducks, Frogs, Fish, And many more Creatures, Even the lndians knew how Essential the Beavers and their Dams were to Life in forest, When Beavers are in the forest it's a thriving forest, They're dispensers of God's gift H20. Post 10. Use Discretion with the Beavers.Capeesh. P.S.They help keep Water in the Mountains, a Positive in a time of Drought.
