Military wives being disloyal is ESPECIALLY rampant in Europe. I served 4 years in the Air Force (Security Forces)--most of that time in Germany--and I returned to Germany for another 5 years as a DoD federal civilian employee immediately after college. I don't mean to brag either, but it's easy to get laid just hanging out in the enlisted, NCO, or officers' clubs on any given Friday or Saturday night. That's where the military spouses would "pregame" before heading off-base/off-post downtown to the bars/clubs on the economy. Many of their husbands were away on 6-month to 18-month deployments, they tended to marry young (either high school sweethearts or married in AIT/tech school), and problems in their marriages were already developing. And on top of that, the fact that you're Americans in a "foreign land" thousands of miles from home just made casual flings and hook-ups all the more inevitable...and I guess somewhat "exciting". The funny thing is, I would NEVER get "blocked" by a chick's fellow military spouse friends. In fact, they encouraged it. As someone below stated, being in the military (or living and working in a military environment overseas) is a blast if you're single.

Mr Pig... Ships communicate with each other and aircraft via radio. An aircraft carrier will have an aircraft called an e2 high above monitoring the area (kind of like extended radar / Air traffic control) and that is how they can see well beyond 200 miles from the flagship.
