I lived in Houston, Texas from November, 1978 until October, 1980-and again from June, 1982 until March, 1989. I was a frequent rider on the Houston, Texas Metro Bus System from Monday morning, January 7'th, 1985 until Friday evening, March 24'th, 1989. I rode to and from pizza restaurants, shopping centers, and movie theaters. I thoroughly enjoyed riding both the local and express buses! The drivers were friendly, courteous, kind, cheerful, patient, helpful, informed, competent, professional, experienced, and well-trained. Thirty-one years, three months, and three days after leaving Houston-I STILL have happy memories of my bus riding days in Houston, Texas!
