Luton regularly handles 767 freighters. It's not that big a stretch. It's not a short runway - capacity is just constrained by the lack of taxiways along that runway.

I've witnessed a 747SP take off from Luton obviously very light as it used only a fraction of the runway with plenty in hand so my opinion has changed 😊

Nigel Murphy I've been there, even though the runway isn't too long, it can still take planes as big as 777's

Airports such as luton, leeds and bristol in the uk all have runways around 2000 to 2250metres long, widebodies cannot take off fully loaded but most the time there not fully loaded due to not carrying the max amount of fuel which is obviously weight. When landing you gotta make sure you hit that touchdown zone.
