This is the very first video to produce symptoms of my "walking on a boat" dizziness. Been 3 years. I think I found a pathway to healing now.

I started feeling dizzy and my stomach started turning...Three and. Half minutes seemed like they would never end.

When I watch this pressure builds up in my sinuses especially on the bridge of my nose where my glasses rest.

Omg yes!!! They had me do this in physical therapy and I get that pressure feeling in between my eyes and bridge of my nose as you mentioned. My eyes will feel a bit strained as well. How are you doing now, or anything new that helped?

Wow I blame the person who’s holding the camera lol But will def tried..thnx for posting this. I’m diagnosed with vestibular hypofunction. Only had a few session in so I’m all new to these.

take it slow, i was told to start with 20 seconds for 5 reps a day. after 20 seconds, stop and relax each time and breath from belly, once you feel back to you baseline, then watch for another 20 seconds and keep doing that till you finish reps. each time you watch it should get easier and easier. take it slow. i hope you feel better soon

Can someone please explain to me how watching this routine type of activity is supposed to help anything? Is there a focal spot you have to stare at or something? Tip to the video poster: we aren't psychic, give instructions and details.

keep watching the videos!! I was getting to 30 seconds and feeling really dizzy and sick, now i can watch the whole video with no reaction and i am feeling better at walking through actual busy places. These optokinetic videos are really helping my 3PD.

That's brilliant :-) I have to say after doing my Wii Balance exercises I can now watch fairground rides and programmes on the tv that contain boats on stormy seas, and I can watch patterns merging. I still have days when I'm off balance but I accept them now, do my exercises, and move on where a couple of years ago I would try to fight the feelings.

Clare Wright did you get dizzier when you started the exercises for 3PD. I started doing optokinetics recently and another one where I move my eyes back and forth from two targets but I feel like they are making me feel worse.

@@coolvideos350 Hi Anna, wanted to inform you the Vestibular therapy works in a way that getting dizzy(just a bit not too much) will allow you to go longer the next time. So like how Clare Wright said she improved, you can too! it's a bit of getting used to it first

Would these actually help myself though as I deal with 24/7 vertigo, for 1 year and 2 months now, and I can feel and tell it’s linked to my head, ears, sinuses having some type of blockage?

Hi I watch these on my phone. I was wondering do we need to watch it a particular way. Like do we need to put the phone/screen at eye level ??

yes, should be at eye level, arm's length away--but please consult a therapist. I am only a patient working through this.

I am quite near-sighted and tend to stare. I watch this and my head seems to expand and relax. is that a normal effect?

How many times a day or how much time a day should one with vn watch these. I noticed if I watch reality shows or shows with a lot of movement I turn it off within two minutes bc I start feel nauseous

my vestibular pt told me to watch it at my base line for 20 seconds at 5 reps a day, as you watch each time for 20 secs in my case , it should get easier and not harder. only 20 seconds for my first week at it. my baseline is 2 on a scale of 10 for dizziness so when i start and my level starts to creep up to around 4 then thats how we discovered that I stopped at 20 seconds initially. hopefully i will soon get to 30 seconds or more. any way i was diagnosed with PPPD . its like walking around on a boat. or walking with vertigo sometimes. its complex but this is one of the exercised she has me do. also the standing with feet together for 30 seconds, and then with eyes closed and feet together for 30. 4 reps a day. best of luck.

@@johngelou8016that help with balances..stand near a table or kitchen counter just in case. Closed ur eyes n keeping balances. My pt advance with marching in place and you will see u kinda drift away from the counter when u do that. Improvement will be near the same area ❤. Be safe

its funny i saw this video a year ago and dont remember watching it , now my PT sent me this very same video and im now doing it slowly 20 seconds for 5 reps a day. who knew? lol
