For rocket planes like the me163, but shutting off your engine (not lowering throttle to 0) actually shutting off your engine will result in ANY IR seeker head to immediately lose lock.

@@smigoltime I would say that missiles that are all-aspect (like AIM-9L & R-60M/K) can still track you even if you put throttle to 0% since they can "see" the heat of the airframe that is caused by friction when a plane is flying, although i'm not entirely sure if this heat is affected by speed (more speed = more friction = more heat)
