Its skill based, just a different type is required. Positioning, moving and engaging with your team, saving abilities and equipment for the right moment with your team during combat, those are skills that not everyone has. Yeah it means the game isn't 100% in your hands, but that's rarely the case for any team based FPS. You also do more to the head so there is aiming skill there too. I love the game for what it is. PVP isn't the focus, but its still a fun pub friendly mode. Not every game needs to be hyper balanced and ready for e-sports.

Yes the game is very PUB friendly which is a major strength but my point is comparing it to other games, the skill ceiling on this game is quite low.

(It’s long but worth the read as it explains how the “balance and skill actually work.) It is a skill game but it requires team work, if you try to solo it and think skill will win it for you then you will lose, there is a reason only 2 people can be one class. Every class is week to another class and stinger that the rests. Iv got 7+ kills without dying as I work with my team and flank. As an assault I will jump in the airs while my team engaged as I’m less likely to be targeted if they are being shot at by team members, I’ll help by shooting in the air are the ones low on health and slam down on the groups. As a sniper I’ll hit invisibility and get behind the enemy’s while the battle with my team and hit them from behind. You really have to learn your class and how the work effectively IN A TEAM. It is a massive team game which is difficult if you can’t communicate with the team. Heavy and bulwark are made to take shots and cover so the rest of the team can stand behind them and fire, sniper, assault and vanguard are weak and have the ability to flank. The snipers, assault and vanguards need to get behind them heavy’s and bulwarks to take them out as heavy’s and bulwark have equipment to stop damage from frontal assault. The tactical or vanguard is the middle man that stands behind them heavys two, seeks out players in cover and gives suppressive and cover fire but is also there to protect the 2 defenders from attacks from behind. Or you go around in 3s, 1 defender (heavy or bulwark) 1 flanker (assault, sniper or vanguard) and one support (tactical or vanguard). Vanguards can do 2 rolls of a flanker and a support. SO YES It is a skill game but not as a solo, it’s a team skill game so need a good team. Why do you think you can’t solve any game mode, even if you go in an operations game solo you have 2 ai team mates as you HAVE TO WORK AS A TEAM AT ALL TIMES. The campaign is a 3 man squad for the same reason.

If there was a ranked mode people would get more competitive and would play the game more like rainbow six having a full team with good coms the potential is insane Since you only get 1 bomb (unless your tactical) you could time them with a couple Teammates depending on what class and equipment you got there’s different combinations that can do well in different situations Example You could use a couple shock grenades on someone on objective to stun them and fire them at distance ask a teammate to throw a bomb at them since they can’t move faster then a turtle even a assault could drop in behind them and beat them up The reason snipers suck is because there teams don’t work with them once they get a good line of sight there team goes to the other side of the map leaving them unable to support them and since your so slow once you get to another spot they either gone or dead I’ve been playing mostly solo and win 70 percent of my game and 3 well organized players can change if you’re winning or losing They just need to add ranked mode a player of game kill cam and the winning team standing side by side showing of their chapter colors

Agreed but still love the pvp. Been a vanguard main since the start its pretty funny seeing hardly anyone even pick the class anymore lol.

I mean, i went 16 games with 1 win. It took me 31 games to get 6 wins. It took me 27 games to get 5 kills in one life.
