Butch: Peaktime vs Downtime (Electronic Beats TV)

Bülent Gürler - or Butch, as he's known to his many fans - is equally at home in clubs, festivals and his meditative, light-filled studio. His DJ-fuel tunes have been released on Visionquest, Cocoon, Drumcode, Hot Creations, Desolat, SCI-TEC, Rekids, Moon Harbour and more experimental, “psycho-acoustic” tunes on his own label, Otherside, while his peak-time sets have been global fixtures for more than 15 years. Telekom Electronic Beats TV caught up with him at home in Mainz for this special interview feature.

Riesen Respekt vor dem Mann! Kenne keinen anderen, der so einen hohen Output hat wie er und es dennoch schafft, jedes Jahr so viele Bretter rauszuhauen. Und als Dj ist er auch Klasse, gerade im Sommer auf open airs kommt sein Sound richtig gut!

@@sminterroom2822 , again, it is very common for a literal translation to not make structural sense, and different languages derive different meaning from different syntax/word placement within the sentence. It is highly likely that some liberties were taken in order to form sentences that make sense when translated to english. Meaning/intent can get lost during these reworkings. Language is nuanced. Let's not judge someone by a translation. Did you see his studio view? That's worth talking about.

Would be great to see something else than techno or house oriented producers/djs, Electro-Techno-IDM-Braindance is currently having a revival. I dont know how it is in Germany but I believe at least the Electro scene must big as well? For example I think London Modular Alliance is doing a great job. Would it be possible to get an interview with DJ Stingray? He lives in Berlin now right? It's not that I am saying your stuff isnt great but would like to see some more edge

I think this is great like it is. EBTV is my favorite source for house & techno artist interviews, chats, etc, adding styles would make it too broad and changing the whole proposal, but I agree that I would like to see guys like Stingray and intelligent producers with things to say.
