Ok I've never had a burglar steal a baby BUT I saw on the sims wiki that the nannies in TS2 can steal your baby, I had never experienced this so I wasn't sure how true that was but only a few weeks later I was playing and she did it! I think if she is holding the baby at the right time as she's about to leave she might not put the baby down and just takes it into the car with her. It's much like deleting a sim through move objects or force error where the baby's thumbnail will disappear from the HUD but when you save and reload the lot the baby will be on the sidewalk. Apparently it's not just nannies that do this, butlers have this bug too!

I'm just picturing a mob-type family hiring a butler and wondering why they're suddenly forced to pay back their taxes.

I just remembered the spookiest bug I had: Olive Specter died, and later, I decided to load her house. The loading screen was for an empty house but when it did finish loading, Olive was selectable and had the "haunt" interaction in her queue. Spooky and it happened with Olive of all people, lol.

Lol that's a great bug for Olive. I guess the game didn't fully recognise she was dead or something so she ended up in some in-between state.

lol I was wondering if anyone would notice that. I recorded that part of the video in the same hood as my zombie video where I made the Pleasant twins zombies but I just decided to keep them like that because it's funny.

In first Sims burglar is going to most valuable thing in the house. Baby most probably have some value but not high enough to compete in such lavish house. You should try again in house where even a table would be up to consideration

The scariest glitch I've had was in TS4. I quit without saving after a sim drowned and when I reloaded the save, he was alive, but the family inventory contained THAT SIM'S GRAVE!

Lol that is creepy I guess it didn't save the Sims death state for some reason? But it's weird that the grave was still there.

I did actually hire a butler for Olive once in my game and he actually showed up with the name Knut so I decided she'd kill him to add to her collection of Sims named Knut, but then because I have a mod that allows more ghosts to come out then usual there was total chaos and the ghosts set fire to a bunch of stuff, so she died before she could carry out her plan lol.

Butlers seem to be a menace even knowing their hirer is a burglar but considering like burglars are illegal, I wonder if they'll call the police if there is one of those counterfeit bill makers in the house considering that's an illegal activity in itself

Years ago in unpatched base game occasionally my sims would get what I call the "Knut Futa Treatment". On entering the lot one sim would lie in front of the house like Knut and others will try to interact with them but couldn't. I was absolutely terrified it'd happen to my favourite sims as it was completely at random. I guess I was corrupting my game without even knowing it and that was the result.

Ah the game must have had their age set to babies since that's why Knut lies there on the ground, but if it kept happening randomly that is really creepy.

Hiiii🥺 I'm very late and hope you're well, since you haven't been uploading lately... waiting patiently for more corruption!! Do you maybe know how the game treats house phones and cellphones? What I mean is if the house phone, if placed in a few rooms, can be used simultaneously to call different people, or just one, like it was in the 00s? And what about cellphones then? I'm asking because I know sims who are being called are treated as if being present on the lot, so I was curious if the butler would call the police if a burglar was called. And if the butler didn't have a spare phone to call?

I've had problems using some of simler90s mods because they don't take into account some mods which alter gameplay, but hopefully this one will be okay to use. Thank you for posting this though! I had no idea about the bugs the butler had and it's good to see you back again!

I tried it to see if it fixed the bug and it worked but I haven't tested it to see if it has any other conflicts during extended gameplay. It was the only one I could find that fixed the bug since cyjon's no butler NPC harassment mod didn't unfortunately. It looks like some people have brought up some mods it conflicts with in the modthesims comments.

Your video was very amusing and fun! I really liked the backstory you added to the butler bug. I can't remember glitches I had before but the only weird glitch that I encountered recently was having a toddler join a group outing in the sims 2 and he just sat at the table only looking and the menu and was unable to order anything lol

I think that maybe trying to spawn burglar in sims 1 with baby as a only object in the house might trigger it to work but I'm not sure

I tried that at one point but the burglar kept disappearing straight away after the sound if there wasn't some other object in the house. I can't remember if I tried that after switching to the base game or not though.

Those glitches looked like the sims were on fentanyl or possessed 😅. I wonder what would happen when the butler and burglar are both ghosts. Would the butler still phone the police beyond death as an eternal trauma response?🤔😅 😅

lol I really should have tried that. I would think the butler would actually stop at that point since ghosts mostly just do the haunt interaction but then ghost Mrs Crumplebottom still lectured Sims so maybe not.

I guess maybe the spookiest would be a bug in Sims 3 where I'd played the same neighbourhood for 13 generation and then one time after coming back from holiday at least half the sims in the entire neighbourhood had turned invisible. I didn't have a backup from before they came back and also the invisibility was catching so I just tried to salvage what I could and collected all the youngest family members from the neighbourhood to move them into a new one but after that one of them didn't know they were related any more cause all the connecting family was gone ): Sorry I didn't write that in a particularly spooky way. It's 7am. Also I think my extremely glitched out Sims 2 from back in the day had a similar thing where sometimes the skin textures were missing so the sims would just be their clothes plus a floating set of eyes and teeth xD Ooh, and there was this one time where a family had two toddlers and the social worker came to take them away but one of the toddlers fell through the bottom of the car when she left. I couldn't switch to the toddler any more but I could look after her. When she aged up I could switch to her again and everything seemed normal for a while until one day she got an action that just said "leave" and I wanted to see what would happen so I let her. She was never seen again and I couldn't call her but she would still appear in the relationships lists of people who knew her.

Lol the floating eyes and teeth sounds really weird. I guess the game recognised the toddler as not being part of the household so she ended up leaving the lot? Would be interesting to know if you could get her back using mods.

Shoutout to the one burglar in sims 3 who harassed me repeatedly. By beelining for my poor sim's toilet. Every single time.

Don't know if it applies to you, but I know in TS3 when you play with Vector, your camera zooms on your neighbours when one of them is burning from the 'burning sim' disease. Happens to me all the time, it's mildly annoying. My working theory is that it's normal behaviour of the game to zoom on whoever is burning but we don't get to see it in vanilla gameplay since your neighbours don't normally set their house on fire while in limbo.

So, I'm not sure if this is true or some weird memory my brain cooked up, but I remember that when me and my friend didn't want to take care of a baby in The Sims 1, we would throw a party and one of the guests would steal the baby. I have no idea if it's possible and I kinda don't want to check it. It's this weird childhood memory of mine, lmao.

I'm not sure if this is a bug in The Sims 1 but I know there's a bug like this in The Sims 2 where guests and nannies etc will sometimes steal babies. I've never had this happen in my own gameplay as far as I remember though and the bug was patched later on but in unpatched games can probably still happen.

Oh no I was using my headphones while editing and I think they were probably set to the highest volume so I didn't notice. I can't see a way to increase the volume from within KZbin studio unfortunately as KZbin removed the feature.

Hi, I just thought of a somewhat ''morbid'' way of maybe bringing Bella back, well, ghost children are problematic in the game because they go to the Default family and as they appear at night, the only adults available to look for them Are the NPCs universal right? Well, in Belavista's Default family, Bella is there, alive, just not unliked, so if Alexander passed away, would Bella appear at night at the Goth mansion to look for her son's ghost?

I didn't try marrying the burglar to another Sim to see if that changes anything but I don't think it would because the butler basically doesn't check to see if the burglar is on duty or not and will just call the police even if the burglar is part of a playable household or a ghost lol.

Butler annoying😠🌈🌈🌈🌈! Sims 2: Cook meal without my permission, never get permission from me. Must Mama (other household if no Mama in family sims that current play) cook meal. Sad, must block fridge so butler can't cook & if send home butler, butler always go to fridge & complain can't go to fridge to cook if happen until 8 PM or put fridge in inventory until he leaves. Sims 3: Same as Sims 2, block fridge until thanks beekeeping box, buy extra 1 (2 beekeeping boxes surrounded by fence, playground fence usual if i not remember wrong with door fence only spesific households can access) for distract butler to take care until being attacked by bees, not necessary block fridge again. Ask join play hopscotch, then let he/she alone play is additional if i not want butler do something. Butler annoying if drink something from snack bar university, then he/she using chair that used for my households sit to eat, better butler sleep in sarcopaghus (made after get enough piece) that my households rare use that for sleep. If weird happen, butler appear normal, then time walk by, butler at outside my family/households lot not do anything but still charge per week until resetsim him/her, if i not wrong remember. Annoying performer Showtime: Sometimes appear invisible, must use command debug buy mode (testingcheatsenabled true) to put trap & activate electric trap firing & visible so he/she get electrocuted so he/she singed that make he/she visible. Current family sims i play now, after many years i play lot different families/households sims in The Sims [2 & 3]🏡🚺🚹in 4 different neighborhood (i do something so not over populate neighborhood in Sims 2 & 3 & not always failed save Sims 3) in Sims 3, first time with many variety (not all) mod & costum content (necessary that i want it) so i not know if butler appear outside & charge per week & annoying performer Showtime (later i total annihilation with mod master controller) become invisible again sometimes. Weird happen when begin have variety mod in Sims 3 is cat jungle lot for my male cat visit to replenish mood & hunting (not fishing), sometimes appear townie sims visit in there, if I'm not mistaken notice, townie sims visit cat jungle is science geek, bartender, social worker, burglar (when recently i play Sims 3 before), pizza delivery, who else because not all i can remember. Cat jungle lot is costum lot made by me.

The butlers in The Sims 3 are annoying ime. It's a shame because I like the idea of hiring them if I have a rich household and tried that recently but the butler was useless and even firing the butler and trying a bunch of others didn't really help. There might be mods that improve them though I didn't really look into it since I don't tend to play the same household for too long and stopped playing that one a bit later.

I think variety mods even make butler more annoying. I have video The Sims 3 that i upload later in my KZbin channel about butler attacks that means cannot firing them because no command fire, only dismiss but after dismiss, another butler, new premade butler appear to do job & always that unless use telephone or smartphone to cancel service butler just like cancel service maid. 1 video Sims 3 that later i upload in my KZbin channel that have description about pay attention about fence house to look lock...specify Sims for this Door because all service sims being locked, cannot pass fence house unless being permitted to pass open door (fence to exact) due act 1 of variety mods, include butler & maid. It must check again fence house because when come back play again, it sometimes locking them again & must let them go through fence house again. 2 videos, same video & another video, that later i upload in my KZbin channel, a butler as client opportunity. My opinion is due mod fix opportunity that make more random sim as client, means service sims can be chosen as client opportunity & second is burglar use taxi as OWN car like ALL OTHER SIMS who not is witch ride flying broom/vacuum cleaner (lifetime reward), same opinion, due mod but this time, mod traffic i think, drive taxi, across my family sims current now (old, small house, now in new, big house, before reach "the end" that never play that family again, delete later in right time) then go to front another next future family sims i play later (must another save file)'s house, then disappear, finally a burglar go home. Ha ha😄🌈🌈🌈🌈!
