Just come back from a week here, we've been most years since 2010, but always stop in a private caravan. 1/3 cheaper, bigger space, way cleaner. Even thought they do seem to be trying a little with the general up keep of the site, its still getting shabby, and they are extremely short staffed. Still had fun thought.

I would have took Butlins to the cleaners with the state of your room it's not right you pay good money out for a holiday I can't fault you for not going for the catering because for the money it's not worth it at least you all enjoyed your holiday we are going back in September for 4 nights if our room is has bad has yours I won't hold back with the complaints 😀 😅

We were nextdoor when we went in 117. Wasn't the best either, sick next to the bed and behind the bedside table, front door wouldn't close properly either, fridge was dirty too lol 😂 it is normal to have the dishwasher still full though. Most cleaners will put it through to clean and then don't have time to wait an empty it. I usually put it on first thing in the morning and then empty it before we check out, but some families don't. X

We didn’t even mention it on the vlog but our front door wouldn’t close all the way too 😂. I think Butlins need to invest in some dust pan and brushes at the very least lol. Thank you for the heads up on the dishwasher situation, we wasn’t are that was the case!

@@theDVadventures yeah they definitely do haha 😂 I mean aside from the small issues we still had a good time. Not the best apartment we've been in, but not the worst. I've been a cleaner before (not for accommodation) and the first thing I used to do was put the dishwasher on, that way when I was done the dishwasher was too so I had time to unload it all. However cleaners don't get enough time to wait until it's finished sadly which is why things are usually left in there. X

Instead of butlins paying out on brand new lodges and other stuff around the park, you'd think they would pay better attention to the apartments that they already have

Agreed! The existing apartments certainly need a good deep clean and freshen up 👍🏻

Agree with your complaints about the cleanliness- was laughing when you thought someone would check it over , nothing extra is being done unfortunately... If you look at the the fb groups you getting "upgraded" probably didn't help as Gold apartments have terrible ratings xx

I always take my own bedding and other stuff because some can not be trusted
