Im sorry about butterbean dan, i still remember watching videos of him when he was younger living with bumblebee gobies and all sorts of other things like mollies and ghost shrimp.I think you most certainly gave butterbean a great life.

10 years is pretty much max life span 8 is normal. Kanaplex works really well for swim bladder! Salt 85 temperature

With the uneven belly I’d suspect potentially a liver or kidney disease. It can pop up based on diet but butterbean eats very well so potentially he might have shut an organ down with age. I hope I’m wrong and butterbean can recover but this could be fatal unfortunately. I’ve seen liver disease sort of make puffers lean to a side like one half of their belly thins out. Fingers crossed for my favourite lil tub ❤

Maybe a swim bladders or blockage of some sort i think a epson salt bath could help thats my two cents anyways i hope he gets better

Did ya test the tank to see if anything crashed? I would do a water change , get some fresh carbon running on a hob incase something is in there.. and some extra prime to help detoxify. - Salt maybe? Sorry to see this.

I doubt it's age. Might be internal bacterial infection? Is he in brackish or freshwater? If fresh, try adding some salt? Good luck, it's stressful isn't it...
