Butterflies Fly Away

This song is a reflection on the experience of finding someone to love. It's like trying to catch a butterfly. If you make a move too soon, they become afraid and fly away. If you wait too long, the wind blows and they fly away. Finding the right person to spend your life with is this same delicate balancing act. If you express your feelings too soon, you risk scaring that person away. If you wait too long, life happens and they move on.
When you find something as beautiful as love, you do whatever you can to keep that person close. However, recent events have made that incredibly difficult, particularly for people in long distance relationships. Perhaps, if people don't want to see their butterflies fly away, maybe the best course of action is to be transparent and express their feelings. And if all goes well, they will find themselves together again. And if not, find solace in the fact you were a part of something truly precious."

Figured i would share - I heard this song many years ago as a friend of one of the members of Sons of Serendip and sang a version of it to ask my now fiance to start dating before she left for a long trip.
