Great video James. Very informative. Now let me see if I recognize some of the butterflies in this video. Might get some wrong. Don't judge me😅. This is a new hobby for me. Citrus Swallowtail, Mocker Swallowtail, Narrow Green-banded Swallowtail, Gaudy Commodore (Wet season form).... can't tell if I saw charaxes and diadems there. Anyways, this is a great channel. had to subscribe.

I am so glad you are keen to care for your caterpillar. Do you know what species it is? And do you know its specific larval foodplant? If you don't know those I would suggest you release it where you found it and it might be able to find the right plant to eat by itself. Each caterpillar species will only eat a few very specific plants. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqXcdoZ9hsRojZI for some more info on some common larval foodplants in Southern Africa
