The fact that she used butter cream icing all through the entire cake was a plus for me! I don't like fondue and molding chocolate. However, the cake looked extremely dry and hard. And the black paint job was kind of sloppy to me. But I also liked the fact that she "freehand drew" the 🦋. I do believe that there are stencils for some cake projects. She should look into that. Good job, not great, but good! And if it's for a child, they're not going to care about minor flaws.

It's a pretty cake. I like the yellow and orange. I would like to see less black . Butterflies are colorful. I would like to have seen some other colors used also, perhaps in filling in some of those outlined areas.

How you do the frosting that it look soft

You can just melt it a little. 10-20 seconds in the microwave until it jiggles. And you have one soft/melty spot but the other buttercream still holds shape
