Let's all agree that the aerial kick makes people look badass.

OMG, I'm new in this world, and let me tell you that your explanation is very pedagogic. I love how you break the movement and explain step by step, even if it's the simplest, so whe can understand how do the body works. Thank you so much, it's a very useful tutorial! Greetings from Mexico!

Can you do a how to get your legs straight while doing a butterfly kick plz love your vids
@JoiningAllMovement4 жыл бұрын
You just have to consciously keep your legs straight, once you bend your knees to jump you extend them and straighten once lifting them into the air. The more height of your jump, the more time you will have to extend them.
@evanscott33784 жыл бұрын
Thanks I have been trying to figure that out for months

Great description. I can see how you can move from the butterfly kick to the aerial. Great progression. So the key is keeping the head down and the legs up.

Amazing tutorial i got both of the tricks, but i am just struggeled in how to get straight the first leg :(, i hope you can answer my comment of how i can get that first leg straight :D
@JoiningAllMovement4 жыл бұрын
You just have to focus on keeping it straight after you jump from the ground. It doesn’t have to be perfectly straight, it’s all up to individual style

This is awesome! I'm always curious however about what the upper body is doing while the entire body is off the ground? In terms of core engagement?

I coach gymnastics. Use to be a cheerleader & was an awesome tumbler. Cheer is more popular in KY, than GYMNASTICS (floor, beam, uneven bars, etc). I did coach more gymnastics (beam, bars etc) for a few yrs when I lived in TN. I learned how to spot those things & not just how to spot the floor, cheer tumbling type of gymnastics. My brother has always been into martial arts & was pretty bad ass at it. His coach back then & my brother would always beg me to get into martial arts because they believed I would be really good at it sense I had a natural athletic ability & could tumble. Even though I never got into it like my older brother, he still always would show me some Kung Fu moves. With that being said, him just showing me every now & then (one would think I would forget & not be able to do it), but there has been a few times where I have been in situations of fight or flight type of situations. And due to muscle memory, & my brain/mind storing that info, even if a certain skill was just shown to me a couple of times, I easily would do it. It's like a possible &/or both threatening incident that called for self defense activated my ass & memory of that skill. LOL make sense? BUT back to my main point of even commenting before I rambled on... I coach gymnastics with a friend (my boss), & sometimes when we are waiting for classes to start or after she will spot me in some stuff. The other day we were trying to find a way how she could spot me in it lol. Didn't work because I was just doing a side Ariel. THANK YOU for this tutorial. IS THERE ANY WAY SOMEONE CAN SPOT THIS SKILL??

The issue had in learning these tricks is my legs are not kept straight, I'm stuck with this, how can I resolve this.
@JoiningAllMovement3 жыл бұрын
You have to keep them straight yourself, once you bend your knees and jump then you must extend them yourself. Your body does whatever you tell it to, just need to practice making it extend your legs when you want to

Let me explain how to learn Aerial trick with a little different way. First do a simple Star trick with two hands (everybody should do that if someone hasn' t real health issues). Then try to do Star trick with one hand, all the time try to this trick quicker. Then try to do it with no hands, thats it.
