while it is true that american companies can just round down (if its below 5 calories), thats not why the korean label says 13 calories and the american label doesnt. its that way because the korean label is basing the calories per 100 milliliters, whereas the american label is per 30 milliliters.

If 100ml = 13.32kcal, then 1ml = 0.1332kcal. Therefore if you approximate it to the nearest whole number, 1ml ~ 0kcal. They put 0 calories on the label because of the serving size (30ml) but it’s obviously not 0 calories per serving, it’s approximately 4 calories per serving according to the numbers they provided, 3.996 to be exact. Apparently it’s a common practice to round down the serving size as 0 calories if it’s under 5.

In the US, as long as a serving size has 5 calories or less, they can market it as a "0 calorie" item. Technically speaking, that entire bottle of Buffalo Sauce could have 150 calories.

The blue cheese is 50 cal but there’s other things that need to be looked at that are in Korean that might show red flags per 100 mL but the hot sauce from what I read is actually 0 cal. It is vinegar, water and pepper mash the pepper mash is ferment to the point where all fats sugars And other things that lead to calories are dissolved within its fermentation of the peppers, which makes it 0 cal and yes, I know people call me captain know it all, but I would love to inform peopleit’s my calling to help anybody that doesn’t understand information is great to learn

Dont know if this helps but in the U.S if the Kals are less than one per serving like 0.2 per tablespoon or something like that, it will just show as zero, and Walden Farms is a diet brand, it uses more odd ingredients to keep the KKals down.

I've had that buffalo sauce before. I didn't think it was great either. It wasn't bad, not very spicy as I recall, but I could taste celery I think in it, which was a weird and interesting ingredient choice.
