Thanks man! I messed up bus stop pretty bad too, there's probably a half second in there alone. Sadly at HPDE you basically get 2-3 clean laps when the track is fastest, so I'll take it

At what point did it make sense to move to a square setup? Also, I’m really digging the pedal cam. Makes me think a little more about throttle position through the corner. It looks like T2 is just stab the throttle and catch the slide if it steps out.

I've been looking into a square setup as well. Seems to be the go to setup if you plan on tracking. 17x9 with 255s are the most common setups I could find. Depending on the offset it would require a fender roll and/or pull. Plus gives you the ability to rotate tires

Square is the fastest and most enjoyable form of the car IMO. I went square as soon as I got coilovers. Glad you like it! It’s an extra camera to deal with but I think it adds something to the videos. For buttonhook, get the car pointed in the right direction (usually nearly parallel to the curb) and roll on the gas as soon as possible - probably sooner than you think.

I know you said you’re running TTX - what spring rates? Is this the urge/psi kit?

I am, but I had them adjusted poorly on this day so the car was bouncing everywhere. The rates are 14k/12k with karcepts front bar and miata rear bar. I got them secondhand but they were built by PSI.

I got a really solid metal GoPro roll bar mount and turned off image stabilization/hypersmooth so the view doesn’t try to resist the body motion of the car. Spot exposure set on the track, and exposure set to -.5 or -1 stop (I forget). I also do some basic video processing to bring down the highlights (track) and lift the shadows (interior).
