Please comment and critique the explanation. It's important that I get a good idea of how people feel they understood/enjoyed it. If you would like to order Buugeng just like these or better, head to www.zaobab.com to find which piece interests you. You can e-mail dai@zaobab.com for faster order confirmation from Dai himself.
Thanks for watching and enjoy the series :).

Brilliant instructional video. The close up slow finger movements are gold. As a beginner to Buugeng, this is just what I need. Many thanks Colin.

I recently started spinning buugeng, so i am quite new to this, but i have been spinning sticks (batons) for quite sometime and the finger technique is more or less the same. What i find really important when explaining the finger spinning is to try to not let the wrist twist while spinning. So, i try to keep the inside part of my palm always facing down (as possible as this can be) and the outside part facing up. I do this in order to avoid hurting my wrist. It is a bit difficult to get that technique in the beginning, but once you get it it is much safer for the wrists. By the way, you are very clean and fluid with your buugengs! Thanks for sharing your videos man!

I just found your video with the led buugeng by accident. I am a designer-spirited person and I am all about visual illusions. Man that video was so amazing I totally fell in love with it. I was already looking for some zen practise to calm myself outside and have some basic baton skills, you just made a new buyer for those. I will definitely pick this up and watch all your stuff. Keep up the good work! Let's hope one day I will have a routine worth showing

I think you are a very good teacher, & very practiced/talented with your Buuegng, my only critique would be that the video camera loses focus when you step back from the close up, but that is just trivial. Keep up the good work 8-)

I understand on the camer focus :(. I have a manually adjusted lens on this video clip, so I had to work around that :\ Glad you enjoyed the video, keep practicing :)

Thanks for the tutorial! Question about hand size: I'm petite and therefore have small hands. The buungeng feels too wide for me. Is it relevant or am I just going thru the beginner's curve?

Hi Colin. Just started picking up the buggeng. In this tutorial, is it a preference if I use this set of 1-2-3 instead of what was mention. Are there any cons of doing it the way I'm doing it? 1(thumb),2(index finger),3( middle finger, ring finger and pinky).

So I twirled baton and was high ranking in my colour guard so I thought this would be like riding a bike, only with a different seat. I am dropping it in simple finger spins and getting muscle fatigue easily. Is this to be expected for a beginner. I am day 1. hour 1 and frustrated that this basic is turning out to be quite difficult to grasp. advice?

@buugengster
@buugengster 7 жыл бұрын
Hey Sterling, again sorry for my delayed reply here. Pyroterra have discount codes throughout the year. You can keep track via their Facebook page, Pyroterra Lighttoys. However, I am surprised by that total cost. That doesn't seem right at all. Their shipping rates are standard worldwide and the total price is 410 at the moment, and that is with their new FT technology (highly recommend that as well).

Do you suggest striped or plain?
@buugengster
@buugengster 8 жыл бұрын
+1mtnbikegrl It all depends on what kind of experience you are trying to give through your movement. The striped design is a lot more obscure and intense, which I enjoy. I just simply don't have a pair yet. The natural wood is nice because it looks more organic. The only reason I have that in this video is because at the time, that was what I wanted. Now I am thinking of all kinds of color combinations that could look cool. My favorite design is a half stained wooden piece made by Dai Zaobab for Chris Dall (search "Janusburns" in youtube to see that on his page). There are many, many choices, so take a bit to think about what you think you would enjoy most before ordering. Dai will customize them in many, many ways for you.
